I know this wasn't exactly what you asked for in the author's note, but I got a little carried away. Feel free to disregard or consider any of this at your leisure.

A chapter about the pregnancy would be wonderful. Pregnant sex, eating binges, belly worship, pampering, etc.
Having a quick montage of sorts showcasing all the different instances where Cadance gets pregnant.
A quick montage of the various ways Cadance gives Shining the news that she's pregnant. She could get creative with it if she wanted.
Any kind of shenanigans where Shining and Cadance use potions/spells/etc to increase their fertility and try for multiples.
If they're successful with the above, any kind of scene (sexy or otherwise) detailing the aftermath of Cadance with a huuuuuuuuge tum.
Shining's body responding to Cadance's need somehow - possible physical enhancement? Temporary or permanent, either way. Cadance is the alicorn of love, so it's plausible that being her soulmate would have some... 'side effects'.
Cadance developing a body type like Twilight had at the end of the show, only Cadance's version is like, full-blown fertility goddess. The wide motherly hips, the calm maternal aura, etc.. This would obviously take some years, but it'd be interesting to see her body basically become optimized for procreation in every way you can think of.
It's possible Shining Armor could retain youthful somehow to continue having children with Cadance. Again, being the soulmate of the alicorn of love very well may have some perks.
Shining and Cadance 'plotting' of ways to make themselves more fertile so they can have more kids at a time.

All of that would definitely be more in the “sequel” territory than another chapter itself. But I’ll keep it in mind! I’m not opposed to pregnancy kink, so if there’s an angle that appeals to me, I might revisit this. They are my favorite couple, after all.
