Wow, this was heavy and sad. Her illness was pretty upsetting in concept; suffocation is a rough way to go. Really had me thinking about 'them' and her loneliness at being rejected. Kudos for this work.

I saw these trope some years ago on Tumblr (The Undertale fandom was obsessed with everything that had to do with flowers at that time! :p) and I’ve loved it since. It’s tragical how something so beautiful can be so deadly.
About the story, I’m impressed at how only 1000 words are capable of transmitting so much emotion. Just...wow. It’s amazing. Good job!!

Well, I kept their beloved vague to prevent any character bashing, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a character in mind when I wrote this, if you most know: it's Sunburst and the flowers she's spitting are sunflowers but you can imagine any character you want.

Aw this was really sad, but I liked it! What an interesting idea too - coughing up flower petals because of unrequited love. I gotta applaud you for that! I think it was a good idea to keep the other pony’s name unsaid, because people have their different opinions, and that’s ok. but Starburst for life man All in all, this was an enjoyable, almost poetic read, and I really liked it!
