Really good job on this first chapter of your multiverse-spanning story. Yeah, I can see where Discord would think it might help his Twilight to talk to some of her counterparts from other universes. And, yeah, really good choice for the first stop on the tour. Talking to one of the co-rulers of the Crystal Empire should definitely be informative. And, hopefully, we will learn the REASON Discord picked THIS universe as the FIRST stop on the multiversal tour.
And, yeah, it WOULD be extra painful for Twilight to be forced to watch Spike die a slow, painful death due to dementia. Finding out one of the other Spikes DID become (and STAY) Dragon Lord was a superb detail though.
And maybe one or two of the future chapters could have Twilight checking up on her counterpart from the universe where Rainbow Dash was Fluttershy's imaginary friend given magical life by Twilight during her entrance exam surge, only for that life to come to an end shortly after Chrysalis's attempted invasion, if only to finally see how she, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie and Spike are coping without Rainbow.
And maybe the Supermare chapter(s) could have THAT Twilight mention visiting an alternate universe that had as many similarities as differences to her own (a nod to your "Hero Souls" story).
But, anyway, really good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up.

REALLY good job on this latest chapter. It seems Captain Sparkle needed that chat JUST as much as Princess Sparkle did. I admit I got a good mix of laugh and thought from the two Twilights comparing notes on their Discords and the other Twilight's reactions to the native Discord's antics. And, yeah, it DOES make sense that the Elements would not directly effect Discord if he wasn't inherently evil.
Anyway, wonderful job on the exchange, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places.
This just got deep, and even better.

That was a good twist! Suddenly our good Captain finds out and learns so much.
Love the observations Captain Sparkle made about her visiting counterpart as well as the chat between Discord and Celestia. Yeah, it makes sense that Princess Twilight is slowly losing her sanity over time partially due to guilt over outliving everybody she's grown to care about (yes, I'm sure at least most of them lived long enough to have children [and some of them even lived long enough to see their children have children of their own], but it is NOT the same thing) but is still making an honest effort to keep it together out of a sense of responsibility. And, yeah, the implications that Celestia and Discord are nearing the end of their own lives (mind you, this is relative; they might still have A FEW centuries left), but trying to give their Twilight (as well as other Twilights) some perspective on certain things is another great detail.
All in all, really good job on the exchange, characterizations and future chapter set-up, as usual.
Well, that is a little heavy about the fact that Twi most likely tried to commit suicide. I can hardly see her being careless enough for being atomized to be an accident.
Wow. Poor Twilight to live in such a way. I hope she can find the answer.
My money is she will find out something and it will be like it was for second Flash. The metaphysical lightning bolt that sent her on her own way.

Celestia herself has maybe one good century left in her in this story, while Discord is an interesting subject. In terms of age, he can't die. His body simply changes too often for his cells to last long enough for cellular degradation to set in. His magic, however, is running out, as he has at this point decided that Equestria doesn't need his chaos anymore, and that, as you learned in the last chapter, put him on a timer.
His gas tank isn't empty, not even close, but it's no longer refueling itself. If he's careful and uses his magic sparingly, he may last one thousand more years. Maybe. Chances are he'll use the big guns more than a few times in the future, so realistically he may have roughly five hundred to seven hundred years left.
Though, I wouldn't put it past the guy to kick the bucket tomorrow just so he can pull one more fast one on everyone.

Yeah. I can see that point. Of course, to put it more on the bittersweet side than the downer side, he WILL be reunited with Fluttershy and Spike. :-D Sorry about that. Couldn't resist an admittedly poor taste joke in this case.
