There are considerations for a sequel, however, I do not have a lot of free time right now due to school and homework, so it'll be a while before I get to writing anything.

I would say this is a good ambiguous ending. Stories don't always need to end with a conclusion. I am going to reference Castaway for an example. As a short story, this works. That being said, it is good sequel-bait.
