Like, I get the existence of MLP clopfics. I'm very much here for a lot of them, and I totally get why people are particularly interested in using a show about emotional honesty and open affection as a vehicle for porn. But why in the world would you use that show for this? What's the point?

Exactly my sentiments. There's a fine line between an interesting jerk psuedo-anti-hero protagonist and a boring cringeworthy asshole protagonist.
This one fell into the latter category for me unfortunately, YMMV. He's just too abrasive to be engaging.
I do like most of your other stuff though, LBP, so...
Can't win em' all every time, I guess. Maybe this character isn't for me but meant for somebody else. I can deal with that.

You're right, Equestria is a diarchy......well technically I guess it would be a triarchy since Twi is a princess now......or maybe if you include Crystal Empire you might call it a quadarchy(?) lol
...Err...no? Everfree Forest, Castle of the Two Sisters. Seemingly used until Celestia's hoof was forced and Luna had to be banished. Still has two thrones to this day, though they've remained unused for a millennium now.
