A closet brony trying his amateur hand at some artistic expression on the net. If you think one of my stories should be in a group you're already in, I'd be flattered. (or confused if it didn't fit)

This story is a sequel to Meta Gamer in Equestria: Odyssey

A human has been transformed by a god of the D&D universe and sent to Equestria, where said human found it to be in the middle of a war with humanoids like himself. After earning the natives' trust and aiding them as best he could, he is finally asked to do something that doesn't bode well for his moral compass: Join in on the fight.
Disclaimer: This story is in the same continuity as MGiE: Odyssey, and I will be trying to write these stories to where you can read either of them first without getting lost, but both will reference the other and reading both will get you a fuller picture.
Profanity tag placed for technicalities, but not a focus.

I think there should be a chance of Moss getting either some or all of his Magic Items back in the future. especially if he somehow does start gaining access to spells.

Just a thought, as always the Author has the final decision.

"without Chaos , there is No Order"

:raritywink: You might read chapter 0 of the prequel/sequel/parallel.... the timeline is screwy. The book I wrote before this one. MGiE: Odyssey. You may find I have a lot already planned.

I’m a little confused. Isn’t it a known fact that he was brought to their world via a pure quintessence meteor and had what I believe was something atleast god adjacent speak through him? I might have some of this mixed up but didn’t Equestria kind of learned he was sent by a god that wants their world to win? Also, and might have forgotten something else here, wasn’t it established that one specific god was after them?

Does Equestria know he was sent by a god? Yes. They also know that he is not a follower of that god, but was involuntarily forced into the role of that god's champion. Do the Fey that Isolate themselves from everybody else know this? Not so much. They only know what they observed during the first few chapters of the last book when he was in the wilderness. They weren't exactly formal allies leading up to this point. So information was need to know at best, even with Zecora having some good ties with both the Fey and Equestria.

All that spoke through him during that one off event rigged to trigger when it did was a powerful celestial, which had taken the form of a familiar. Not a god. Ties to them..? I'll get to addressing that soon enough.

He's also hesitant to mention anything religious due to the stigma against gods, and what they would do if they found out if he followed a god after all, just a different one.

I can't get too far into it without spoilers. But thanks for helping me with feedback. I may use this to guide a few reminders for the audience.

Thanks for the clarification. It’s easier than finding and rereading the relevant chapters.

My work finally slowed down enough to start catching up on this story. I'm liking how everything is developing so far.

Zombies could either make things easier or much much harder.

please tell me things get better?? :fluttercry:

Oh how everybody wants that diabetes inducing level of sweet happily ever after. But look at where he is in this chapter compared to the counterpart chapter 11 of the previous story that I think you managed to read. You might find your answer when comparing them.
While I do intend to have things improve... Like in real life, there's almost always going to be a price to pay. Sometimes a setback, sometimes a compromise, sometimes a new struggle on the horizon, sometimes a sacrifice.
Better? I think so, yes. Easier? ...Not so much. I'm not using the "hold the child's hand" fairy tail formula here. I don't have a Teen rating on this story for nothing. :trollestia:

"Gay, are you ukqafgr?" sounds like a Padawan yoda quote

incidental. Do note the translation in the author's notes. but yes, it does kinda sound like that.

9661801
I notest the notes
ps today ( june 4th ) is my 20th birthday

huh... I wonder if this chapter accidentally answers any fan fair.

based on what I've read so far, the question is how/what is going to screw him over this time. One example being he saved fluttershy's life only to be put on trial afterwards.

9742647
Aww... But if I tell you, that will ruin the surprise. :rainbowwild:

Pharynx versus Garble could be anyone's fight. I hope to see it soon.

Critique - I would weave something like that author's note at the end into the narrative somewhere.

I need to everything reread as there is one major question I have regarding Moss?

Are the equestrians just using him as a means to an end?

I also need to reread this since my understanding of Moss's character is generic doormat human in equestria which simply had me skimming through chapters.

Only thing I picked up from this chapter was that he even though he was determined to complete his mission. the fey decided he needed someone along to double make sure he succeeds. This only has me worried that once everything's over he's going to get a knife in the back.

9844250
:trixieshiftright: He is not "just" a means to an end, if that's what you're asking.

I pulled it out, pointed it straight at Speaks with Talons and looked at him with the coldest hearted glare I could muster.

Oh shit!

thanks for explaining his character up to this point along with him making sure they know he was forced into this conflict.

9743113
Several months later, but I hope that's enough of a surprise for you. :rainbowwild:

that help looked like a healing word to me, am I correct in assuming that presence was the God from Christianity?

9903180
It was healing word, I'll give you that much, but keep reading. The story can explain better than a comment.

. . . Getting 'lucky' on the job, huh?:trixieshiftright:

This can be really good, or really bad . . . With the Fey, probably both at once.

9602657
It might make diplomancering a little more complicated.

If it isn't just some infectious disease, then it was some'one' bringing them back. Someone that was able to do it here in the forest as they died off from Speaks with Talons poisons.

That, or someone forgot the third word when picking up the Necronomicon Mortis.

Apparently they don't follow International Humanitarian Law in regards to medics having non-combatant status.

At least he didn't just ask straight out if they were a "Batpony". He can learn! :pinkiegasp:

Things. Definitely Things and Stuff will.ve happening. And maybe Whatzits, but I'm not 100% about that . . .

9742647
Now now, I am sure that absolutely nothing could possibly go wro . . .

You didn't fail, you're just so good of a creator that everyone was convinced that Moon Beam and Luna were two different ponies. The reveal blew my mind.

re post of a chapter, possibly causing an update, was from a misclick of accidentally unposting a chapter. Apologies.

Love that movie, I want to watch it again. I wonder if Netflix has it still?
