For centuries, fairy tales have been treasured and passed down from generation to generation. Some are funny, some are romantic, some are scary, and some have a bit of everything in them. But these fairy tales are a little different than you think. Enjoy these classic stories… with an MLP twist.

Nice. I'm upvoting this just for this chapter.

You know its a great story but funny thing I have always imagind a sleeping rainbow story do I like this story no, do I love this story yes.

Hmm, a lot of the wording was strangely similar to Magpiepony's Pinkie Tales version. Maybe this story has been told and retold a certain way enough times that certain words and phrases kind of end up becoming memorized with the story? :applejackunsure:

Hmm, since when to draconequi eat ponies? Still a good story though.

I thought Discord would be a good choice for the Wolf because I figured his mouth would be big enough to eat a pony's head and he also has a big enough stomach for it. But thanks

Wow! I see you went with one of the darker versions of this story. :pinkiegasp:

Oh, my FlashLight-loving heart. :heart::raritycry:

9260720
Yay! Another Flashlight fan! :yay:

Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about Sweetie being characterized as the "smartest." I mean, out of the three of them, she usually is the most cautious, and she does have a sneaky, manipulative side. She is also the least rash out of the three of them. I'm not sure if that necessarily makes her the smartest, though. Hmm, good story though.

Back at the castle that night, Queen Starlight was staring into her magic mirror admiring her beauty before asking it, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, NOW who is the fairest of them all?"

I think there might have been a little mix-up in here.

Going with the original meeting as opposed to the Disney one I see. Then again, love at first sight is a pretty common thing in a lot of the older fairy tales. Passing stories down orally didn't leave a lot of room for character development in these kinds of stories.

Aww, crud! My other OTP!:raritycry:

I see you added the fight from the Disney movie to the original story.

The next thing she knew, Sun-Belle could see her old house peeking over the horizon; she was almost home. Mr. Burst looked out at the town; it was so quiet since his little Pinkie Belle left. But that was soon to change. He saw Sun-Belle come from over the hill to see that the farm hardly changed; sitting just outside the door was her father. Sun-Belle's heart skipped a beat, and she ran to her father giving him a big hug.

Ahem. Sorry if this annoys you, but character mix-ups kinda get to me.

I am a total Beauty and the Beast fangirl. It's nice how you mixed the original story with elements of the Disney movie.

The Apple siblings are a lot smarter than people give them credit for.

This makes me wish I had seen all of the live-action movie.

Well, I highly recommend it. It's such a great movie. And if you want to, you can even watch the sequel.

Would you believe this is the second CheesePie version of this story I've found?

Once upon a time in a kingdom far away, there was a miller who had a beautiful daughter named Starlight Glimmer. She was one of the smartest mares as well as the loveliest in all the land and everyone was friends with her. Starlight’s mother was always proud of her and she would often boast about how wonderful and magnificent she was.

Sorry. Another typo.:twilightsheepish:

“Very well. Oh! And by the way. If you can’t do it, you and your father… will be sentenced to death. And one more thing: you can’t use magic to cheat your way out of this. Understand?”

Or is this the typo? :applejackunsure:
Oh wow! My fourth and final OTP!:rainbowkiss::pinkiehappy:

9264196
Well, I forgot to edit a couple things before I actually published these stories. Come on, cut me a bit of slack

9264247
Sorry. I just got super confused. :fluttershyouch:

Wouldn't a story that involves working be more suited for Applejack as opposed to Pinkie? :applejackunsure: Well, considering that the story involved making cake, I can see why you went with Pinkie.

Oh. A SpikeBelle shipper I see. I'm actually pretty neutral to most Spike ships.

9265637
Actually, no. I ship Sweetie Belle with Button Mash and I ship Spike with Mina (a young dragon from the IDW comics). Sorry

9266082
I ship ButtonBelle too. I mean, not OTP levels of ship but still. :pinkiehappy:

AJ fits this story surprisingly well even if it is closer to the original story than the Disney movie.

I think you might have gotten Trixie mixed up with the Flim Flam brothers a few times while typing this. Anyway, this role was perfect for Rarity, and the ending was way happier and less embarrassing than the original story. :rainbowlaugh:

I've never really thought of it before, but Scootaloo can be quite clever when she wants to be. The problem is that her cleverness is usually overridden by her lack of forethought.

Hmm, I'm a little weirded out by the fact that they both still have their wings in this story. It would seem as if you mixed elements of "Fall Weather Friends" with the original story.

9268865
It's just the characters I thought would fit the Tortoise and the Hare

“Up there?” Gabby said, looking to where Tin Tiara was pointing. “Looks like a hoard of changelings to me.”

Does it bother you that I keep finding these? :applejackunsure: If it does, I can stop pointing them out if you say so. :twilightsheepish:

And she blasted a beam of green magic at Apple Crow, which caused her tail to start on fire. Scare-Spoon screamed and thrashed around, trying to stop the fire. Dorothy Belle then grabbed a bucket of water from the floor with her magic and she used it to put out the fire. But she didn’t know that the water would go so far. Most of it splashed onto the Witch and she shrieked at her.

I'm so sorry about this. :ajsleepy:

So, I haven't read the original story. I mean, I read the Great Illustrated Classics abridged version, and the wizard's gifts were different from what he gave them in the movie. I just realized something. In the original story, were the wizard's gifts just placebos? The abridged version didn't communicate that very clearly.

9268929
It's okay. I just found out that I can edit the chapters. I'm just sorry I haven't figured it out sooner. :twilightblush:

Not a fan of the SugarMac ship, aren't you?

9269084
No way. I'm more into Fluttermac, in case it wasn't obvious

Wow! This was intense. Good job.

You know, I'm kind of surprised that you didn't use Shining Armor and Cadance for this story.

9269862
Thank you. But Cadance and Shining Armor are always used so I thought why not try something different?

9258734
yeah, that does happen to stories. I must admit though, while Applejack and the Beanstalk is a better pun, Spike fits the role of 'jack' better than AJ.

9260654
He does fit the role of the wolf as a character better then AJ did in Magpipony's Pinkie Tales

I personally prefer the version of Rapunzel that she comments about how tight her dress was becoming. But this is an E rated story.

“Of course I will, how could I not?”

smartest thing a man as ever said.

And now I am of the dead:heart:

A better casting then Magpi Pony, keep itup

Fluttershy is a better choice then RD for Snow White, and you beat Magpipony to getting this take up.

Mr. Igneous pleaded.

I think you mean Burst
While overall, better than Magipony's take, Twilight is a better fit then Sunset.
