This is definitely a matter of some controversy and debate, but I would say the term that should be used in the trigger warning is dubcon. By some definitions, dubcon is where consent is not given (but not denied, either), or if a character gives consent but isn't really in a position to do so (like if they're out of their mind in heat, or in a position of very little power compared to their partner, where saying no doesn't feel like much of an option. By that definition, this story definitely wouldn't count, since Spitfire explicitly says no, but the protagonist keeps going.
I'd say, though, that it matters more for tagging how the character feels about the event afterwards. I think that affects the tone of the story a lot more, and how people will feel reading it. If a character does not consent, or actively denies consent, then is forced into it anyway and soon finds that (thanks to porn logic, which does not happen in real life) they enjoy it and want more, I'd say that counts as dubcon. If the character leaves happy, I think a lot of readers will too.
Whereas if the character is forced into the same situation and hates it, and goes through the experience desperately wanting to get away, ending with them feeling beaten, humiliated and violated, then I'd say that's noncon. And it makes a very different story, one I personally am not at all keen on. So that's where I'd draw the line between the two. Maybe that's just because I'm ok with one and not the other, and I'm perverting definitions for my own ends, but hopefully others can at least see what I mean. So I'd have put the warning label as dubcon for this story, I think.

Nice piece of smut wrapped up in a bit of story. It seemed to me that Spits has been crushin' on the cadet for a little while. He was certainly attracted to her despite she not being his favorite mare at the moment. The cameo at the end has my hopes up for some group 'activities' if not the start of a polyamorous relationship. My only qualm was the questionable consent when they started. Otherwise, great job!
