Dirty Bit

Just another zebracorn living in Ponyville. I wear a top hat! A small thing to know about me in terms of this site is this: I am a SUCKER for crossovers! Mainly those of the ones I'm familiar with.

This story is a sequel to Daring Do and the Quest for Excalibur

Daring Do is in for the adventure of her life as she hears word of a crypt containing a very interesting treasure. However, she does not know full well of what she is in for, or if what she is looking for is worth giving to a good museum. Will Daring Do survive whatever this adventure is willing to throw at her for the sake of archaeology?

I had nightmares from this show when I was still a kid.

8941703 I only had the one dream based on this, myself, albeit a small part. I just drove past a guy that resembled him in a field of fog.

*proceeds to have nightmare flashbacks of this character*

"Return the slab..."

Evacuation in progress.

King Raaaaamseeeeeeeeees
The man in gauze, the man in gauze

Was hoping this was Mummies Alive...oh well. Courage is great too.

8943253 Mummies Alive was a great show. I cannot do it justice.

You could at least try. XD

8943689 I haven't seen all of it, though~! :raritydespair: And I'm already swamped with my other stories

While I can see why the Courage the Cowardly Dog episode that this is referencing would be nightmare-inducingly creepy for some, for myself, it was actually pretty hilarious. & I don't mean in a "special effects failure killed the horror" way, I mean in a "doing justice to the concept of playing a creepy idea for laughs" way. It's actually 1 of the better cases of this among that show in my opinion - which is sad, considering that I'm saying CtCD is better at playing a creepy idea for laughs when they do it by accident than when they try to - especially since the fact that the Man in Gauze is no Santa Claus is the 1st "funny moment" that pops into everybody's heads when it comes to Courage the Cowardly Dog.

9038196 I thought of the Manly Ghost when I first heard the song. I thought it was funny, too.

9038511I’m still pretty sure that you agree with me that the fact that a children’s horror-comedy anthology couldn’t pull off such a classic of the genre as playing a creepy idea for laughs couldn’t do that cliche justice unless the humor was not the focus of the episode is kind of sad.
