This story is a sequel to Fairlight - The Frozen Heart
Fairlight, still in the employ of Equus, embarks on a mission to rescue the kidnapped ponies being held in the human world. Upon his return he finds all is not well within the agency, with the insidious shadow of treachery and betrayal never far away. After a trip to Ponyville, Fairlight learns more about his heritage and with the help of his partner, Tingles, seeks out the ruins of his ancestral home. A terrifying revelation threatens to unhinge his mind and he runs afoul of the wendigo's ancient foe, the White Witch herself. Banished from the home he loves, Fairlight must decide whether to go willingly into exile or fight to clear his name and rescue his beloved Shadow from her unknown fate in the Wither World.
Dang Fairlight really became a Billy Badass on his little visit to Earth.

Well things are slowly starting to fall into place for Fairlight. He needs but only to hide his time. That last bit should be interesting to find out about.
Well that turned out quite well. And now Fairlight has made a couple new friends. Kinda reminds me of the scene from Lord of The Rings when the group traveled through the mines of Moria.

Also, freaky cult activities, yikes.
At this point, and even before to be honest, i understood why Celestia behaves the way she does towards Fairlight.
The monastery event pretty much sums it up nicely.
All being controlled, including Shadow, in some way and him being aware of it, yet he just slaughters them all without a second thought while in his "bloodlust" state that seems to happen more often.
Will be interesting to see how it goes forward.
