hm this interesting story...very good opening almost like a prologue! hopefully in second chapter will explain (or in flashback) why flurry and her friends decided to check out that cave. one error though it's "followed not fallowed" question: ruby and sapphire (flurry heart's friends)names aren't in relation to Pokémon?

A lonely Windigo is something the official series is still missing. Don't know if they will ever bring them up. Maybe in the upcoming 44-minute Hearth's Warming special? Well, unlikely but still possible.
it's been a long while (for me anyways!) since reading the first chapter. great character progression on all fronts
also liked haze using an alias "alto" I think he's using one? only missing an extra 's' of the word hiss.
I love the idea of super rare ingredients/critters just being "lunch" to poor Alto.
If Alto and Flurry are same age and have same growth speed then the topic of Alto's mother's killer will be very dramatic.

On the top end, sure, but absolute zero is when atoms stop moving. Heat is just energy being released, and you can’t have less energy than no energy. So having a temperature below the point at which atoms stop moving is not something magic can really work around.

If the main OCs in this story were voiced, what would they sound like?
Ruby would sound kind've like Maud.
Sapphire would sound like Spitfire
Alto like a male version of Fluttershy
Quartz would sound like Sorin or Flash
Opal would sound like Time Turner
Onyx sounds like Big Mac minus the accent and southern dialect
And Platinum would sound like Octavia, minus the accent.
(While not an OC Flurry's voice sounds similar to Sweetie Belle's.)
