I absolutely love how you put a missing sibling into Daring Do's backstory. It gives her a bit more depth as a character than before.

Also helps explain a some of her personality quirks. I've never seen Daring having a sibling in any fan works, and that will likely never be addressed in the series proper. Frankly, I'm surprised that I'm the first one to bring up this potential part of her backstory.

Thinking about it, I'm surprised nobody else has done this pairing yet. If they have, I haven't found it on this site and none of the fan art on the art sites I frequent focuses on the two as a potential couple or just as a stand alone piece with no other characters. Kind of disappointing when you think about it, seeing as Daring was introduced very early on in the series proper's run. For a fandom that claims to love all sorts of pairings, this one just seems to not have happened before now.

That could be the plan, or it might happen a little differently. I'm not one to give spoilers in my own stories, I'll occasionally imply something and let the readers do the rest. Is that a bit trollish? Maybe, but it is my work so I'm permitted to mess with the readers a bit. Besides, it's more fun to see you all notice little hints about things in future chapters.

Thanks, I wanted to try a new angle with a few things. A few weeks ago I heard a theory regarding dragon hearts crystallizing after they die, but decided to put a spin on that. I'll try to explain that further as the story goes on. Stories usually seem more interesting when they build on the world or lore in some way.

Very. Something I noticed about Spike’s pairing stories, at least the ones I’ve read, is that they hardly ever focus on his awkward start with the love interest of the story or have it resolved by the end of the chapter that follows the awkwardness’s introduction. I’m taking a different course and having the awkwardness spread out over several chapters.

That’s the intention. I’ve searched all over FiM Fiction and before now this ship wasn’t the story collection, how is it over the course of 7 seasons I’m the first one to ship Spike and Daring? Also, I haven’t been able to find any Spike x Daring Do fan art on any of the art sites like deviantart, e621, or derpiboru, Every time you set Spike and Daring as the search perimeters its a group image with several other characters. No fan foals exist for this pairing either, why is it over 7 seasons this is the first time this pairing was even tried. Daring Do was introduced back in season 1, then became a full character in season 4 or 5. So why is it this pairing hasn’t happened before this story?
I can't wait for the camping trip!

The main focus of the story is Spike and Daring Do, so the bulk of the chapters will be focusing primarily on them. Yes, some other characters will get dragged in for a bit, as you put it, but only for a short time compared to the overall story. For Rarity it’s a bit of a must, seeing as she’s basically required to make Daring’s new outfits, it also offers up some character building moments.

Maybe, this ship is kind of fever for me so far. I’m also working on a story with darkness that will likely have some shipping fuel in its veins, I also prepped a spinoff that has a bit of an unseen ship, I’m not going to say here due to wanting to keep it a bit of a surprise for now.
I would love to see the reaction of Rainbow after being told what had happened with Spike and Daring at the temple. Great chapters!

I know I forgot with a few characters in reactions to some stuff, but I think I got all the important stuff where it needed to go.
While I've been a little irritated by how monotone the story has been, the ridiculousness and immaturity these characters and descriptions are reaching is wearing me down.
Would it kill you to follow through on actual conflict in the story if you plan on making it take several chapters to reach the clop/plot? Or at least give the characters a bit more divergence in terms of how they talk and act? Ive yet to see a conflict that didn't resolve itself with someone waving off the disagreement or it being solved by some dry dialogue.
Also i didn't realize how much hyperinflation type shit was in the story. Thought maybe she'd get some Ds and a bit of jiggle in her ass not the biomass equivalent of a second and third torso hanging of everyone's front.
That was glorious! I love how shameless Daring Do is now!

Notice how she told her daughter she was “too young” for participation but didn’t outright say she wasn’t allowed to attend. After all, children pick up more from their parents than we think. Of course her realization her argument was close to being invalidated by the fact Daring would probably be raising her children in the church likely occurred around the time Daring making a comment about being pregnant actually caught up with the rest of the her.
