I do feel bad for him. Kind of a prick, but he's unrecognized in his field and if I'm not mistaken, Princess Celestia just promised to demote him if he did what she said and would probably be demoted anyway if he didn't. We're two chapters in, seeing his point of view and no one knows his name. From what I can tell, he's cursed with immortality (kind of unsure how he can't die and nopony knows him.) and he lost his wife, probably. Still, I am curious how he's tied to Twilight.
