What if Chessmaster's Starlight Glimmer is the not-reformed version (like what if she hadn't met the Mane 6 and Twilight reached out to her... and the Starlight whom AJ invited to the party is the reformed Starlight, who is learning how to me a good friend by doing some activities the girls can come up with. Maybe include Starlight in one of the workshops as a way to reach out to Xavier? Personal experience on her losing her best friend, etc.
