It was a rude awakening. Safe to say, she didn’t go home and sleep easy that night. They were on her trail; they hadn’t forgotten about her. Satyrn took a short journey back to the location of Statera. She had neither spoken about or thought about the city since she was taken in by her adopted parents. But what horrified her more was not her life being in danger, but rather seeing what Statera had become. It was no longer a small city encompassed by steel walls for ‘protection’. In her absence, Statera had grown to be a fortified monstrosity, with towers, skyscrapers .. more than one can imagine. In the very center of the city was a spire that reached the clouds. So a thought occurred to Satyrn, that perhaps she wasn’t the only one in danger. She ran away crying and scared for her life. Who could blame her?
It was her fault too.
I would imagine it is difficult to hide a city as big as this one...
