Personally i did not like this chapter. I liked how it was mostly serious it helped people connect. If you made it without the memes it would be better.

I meant to anewer this when you asked the first time, but since I've been at work nearly everday, I never had the chance to do so, and forgot. But here ya go.
Cobalt's voice is quite pure. I say pure because of Cobalt's well cultured personality. Of course it's slightly deep because of his age, but not deep to where he'd sound like a main antagonist.
As for his sister, Emerald, she has a voice similar to Rainbow Dash, with a little mix of Sunset Shimmer. You gotta take into consideration of how immature she is as well.
And their mother basically has the caring and loving motherly voice all mothers should have. I don't really have a good example for this. I guess you'll have to imagine a sweet, motherly voice yourself.
I hope this was a decent enough description of their voices. I would like to do a voice over for this, but at the same time I can't because of my busy work schedule.

I sometimes monologue when I try to think of what to write if it isn't good I try to find another way to write it down then try to make it a story so you are not alone Shining Cobalt.

I do the same thing as well. When I was doing some really intense math, I started calculating everything out loud since we weren't allowed to use a calculator.
My friend looked at me and asked, "What are you doing?"
I responded with a shrug and said, "It's what I do."
I think out loud while I'm at work too. It's how I come with ideas for my stories. It's good to know there's someone else out that monologues out loud like me.

Pretty sure, by 'normal' he meant someone who doesn't flaunt their intelligence. I mean, really, if you went to school with a genius, would you want them flaunting their knowledge every time you saw them or heard them? Better that a genius is a bit quiet and understated, even thoughtful, than loud and obnoxious.
the only complaint i might have, is i feel it is going incredibly fast. but still an enjoyable read.

Only one problem with this is that, either he is too trusting, or you didn't want(or was too lazy) to make it more realistic by making him keep it to himself... Otherwise good job.
