I don't know how to feel about all the remarks the protagonist is making to himself about how this isn't gay. Kinda getting in the way of my enjoyment of the story, although I am certain that it is someone's fetish.
Other than that, It's a nice little short story.

Curious question... Who was it that came up with the idea of a soda pony in the first place?
Kind of gives the name "soda jerk" a new meaning! Actually, I didn't think of one foreleg being a spigot (logical) until the very end!

It's definitely an older pony, relatively speaking. In the derpibooru tag for "food pony", the oldest two are both coke based and over 5 years old. It existed on ponibooru before that too.

Heh, I'm sure it's someone's fetish. I was actually kinda inspired by my boss who denies having any 'gay' thoughts so much that I think he probably really does. 'Methinks the [boss] doth protest too much.'

I was actually looking for a picture of Celestia drinking beer, saw what eventually became the cover image, and the idea grew from there.
