Chapter 24: Grand Finale Part 2: Goodbyes
As the group partied on Luna looked up at the Alolan Night Sky. The thought of having to go home was something she had wished for this entire time. But now saying goodbye was something she was afraid of.
"Hey Lulu something wrong?" asked Larry walking up to her.
"Oh um it's nothing," said Luna wiping a tear from her eyes.
"Come on don't lie to me," said Larry.
"It's just that before all I wanted was to go home," said Luna. "But now the thought of having to leave is making me.."
"I understand," said Larry. "Sun, Hau, and Kukui had the same experience with Lillie," Luna looked at him with sad eyes. "They told me Lillie had gone to another region Kanto specifically in the past to help her mother get well after a similar experience with the Nihilego fusion,"
Luna's eyes widened in shock,"Really?"
Larry nodded,"It must've been hard for them," "But Kukui had said the when your saying goodbye to someone you love you gotta show them one last smile," Luna looked down processing what Larry had just told her.
"Um Larry can I have a moment to myself?" asked Luna.
"Sure thing take your time," said Larry standing up and walking away. Knowing that Larry was gone Luna let a small smile form on her face followed by a single teardrop rolling down her cheek.
As the party came to a close that night, Sun and Lillie summoned Solgaleo and Lunala to open Wormholes leading back to Equestria. As the two were setting up for the ponies departure, the group said said their last goodbyes as the ponies prepared for travel.
"Are you sure you're gonna be alright?" asked Kukui.
"Yes we'll be fine," answered Twilight. "Thanks for everything,"
"Don't forget about your malassadas!" said Hau bringing over eight bags for the ponies and one small bag for Spike.
"Oh I'm sorry but we can't take this," said Starlight.
"Why you don't like sweets?" asked Hau.
"No it's just that you already did so much for us already," answered Twilight.
"Don't sweat it just think of it like a gift," said Hau distributing the bags.
"Oh thank you so much for this Hau," said Fluttershy.
"Symon Amber we just wanted to thank you for all that you've done for us," said Twilight.
"Just trying to help," said Symon smiling.
"Don't forget about us," said Amber.
"We won't," said Twilight wiping away a tear.
"Thanks for everything Gladion," said Starlight.
"Anytime," said Gladion.
"All ready!" Sun called out. The group turned around to find a large Wormhole already opened and ready for the ponies.
"Well then I guess this is goodbye," said Twilight.
"Be safe and remember Alola's blue skies and seas," said Kukui grinning.
Suddenly a loud screeching interrupted the ponies and humans greetings.
"What was that?" asked Fluttershy. Just as she asked, a large ball of electricity came crashing down in between the ponies and humans. Once the electricity dispersed a creature resembling something similar to Tapu Bulu but with an orange Mohawk with orange and turquoise eyes hovered around.
"Ho if it isn't Melemele island's guardian Tapu Koko," said Hau.
"It appears Tapu Koko came to see you off as well," said Illima. Tapu Koko suddenly jumped back to join Hau's side staring intently at the group.
"Once again thanks for everything!" said Twilight as she and her friends approached the Wormhole.
"We wish you all a safe travel back," said Larry. "And remember the Alolan spirit!" All the ponies waved their hooves as they stepped through the Wormhole one by one.
"Don't forget about us!" said Symon.
"Cause we won't forget about you!" added Amber.
"Remember the great memories we made together and be sure to say hi to your other friends!" said Lillie.
"We will thank you and goodbye!" said Starlight.
"With that all of us bid you Alola!!" Larry called out. Everyone waved and Tapu Koko let out another screech as the ponies waved back disappearing into the Wormhole.
Watching the Wormhole disappear from sight everyone began heading back to their homes. "Do you think they'll be alright?" asked Symon.
"I'm sure they'll be just fine," said Larry looking up at Alola's night sky.
As the Wormhole appeared in Celestia's throne room the returning ponies were greeted by hugs and love from everypony around them.
"Welcome back My Little Ponies," said Celestia.
"We're glad you decided to come back to us," said Cadence.
"How are the Changelings?" asked Twilight.
"They returned to their hive," answered Shining Armor.
"That's a relief," said Twilight.
"But enough about that," said Celestia. "How about you tell us what you did during your time in Alola," Twilight smiled knowing that she would have a big story to tell to everypony. Twilight and Celestia followed the rest of the group out as everypony made their way back to their homes. Just as she stepped out on the balcony, her ears twitched as she thought she heard two familiar cries. Looking up she could she that some of the stars connected to create the faces of Solgaleo and Lunala.
"Is something wrong Twilight?' asked Celestia.
"No it's nothing," said Twilight smiling. She looked back up one last time before following Celestia back in. One thing lingered in her mind as she settled in her teacher's warm embrace. Solgaleo, Lunala Thank you both for everything.

Wait, who are Lillie and Lusamine?
In Pokemon Sun and Moon there are two characters named Lillie and Lusamine who were formerly family members. However Lillie betrayed her mother and stole the legendary Pokemon Cosmog to prevent Lusamine from using it as a sacrifice for the Ultra Beasts research she and Aether Paradise was conducting. It is said during the game that Lusamine president of Aether Paradise was a selfish woman who would bestow her love on those she deemed worthy whether they liked it or not. In the post game Lusamine's son Gladion states that the reason she might have gotten into the Ultra Beasts was because she was attempting to reach her husband who disappeared long ago during a experiment he was conducting after the Ultra Beasts and Wormhole was discovered. If you play Sun and Moon you will find out more about these two.

Update: Alright Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are finally out. I plan to buy a copy of Pokemon Ultra Moon and play through it to see what the next game has in store for me, so I will be writing a sequal to this called Pokemon Ultra Cosmos. To those of you who already played through the game I would really appreciate it if you don't spoil anything so I can experience the story myself. I'll explain more details after I've completed the game so until then thank you for your patience. So our six ponies better be prepared cause Necrozma is coming.
Update: I have purchased a copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun (Sorry not moon, it seems like Ultra Moon has a lot of popularity at my local Gamestop) But I'm currently playing through the story and I seriously enjoy what's happening so far. But I've decided that since most of the story is similar to those of Pokemon Sun and Moon with several tweaks added, I plan to start writing Pokemon Ultra Cosmos early. However I WILL be progressing through the game while writing so please do not worry. I might even go and watch a play through of Pokemon Ultra Moon since I heard it was a different story to Ultra Sun so I can mix things up. But other than that yeah, keep an eye out for Pokemon Ultra Cosmos. It's finally time, we've all been waiting for this moment and now it's here. Time for Necrozma to take the light!

Lusamine is the president of the anther foundation as well as the main villain in the game but not the villain in the anime. Lillie is lusemine's daughter who is a friend of the player and a caretaker of cosmog (or nebby).
