I choose it so if you say it fast enough, it begins to sound a little like Amalthea- which is the name the unicorn adopts in the book/movie.

I'm assuming you are basing this on the book as opposed to the animated movie?

It is on my list of books to read. I've seen the animated movie and want to compare the two.

As a fan of both the animated movie and book, I recommend it. Although the pacing is a lot slower than the movie , Peter S. Beagle has a poetic way of describing things, and you find out more about the characters' backgrounds. For instance, there's a reason why King Haggard's castle is so empty and barren- and it's not just aesthetic. :raritywink:
