Blacksmith Rainbow Dash teams up with eccentric pirate Captain Pinkie Pie to save Dash's love, Fluttershy Breeze, from undead pirates led by Pinkie's mutinous former first mate, Captain Sparkle. Pinkie wants revenge against Sparkle, who left him stranded on an island before stealing his ship, the Black Pearl, along with eight hundred and eighty two pieces of cursed Aztec Gold.
Edit: Changed Comedy tag to Romance tag.
I've only read the synopsis and it already sounds like a delightful train wreck!
7938969 You mean ship wreck
7938997 Nah, no romance tag
7939083 I ran out of tags I could put on...
7939095 Ship wreck it is then
R63 Dash and Pinkie, huh? That's interesting. I will be watching this.
this is very intresting indeed....
This one line captures the essence of Jack Sparrow and puts it into a pink pirate pony. Thinking harder about it, Pinkie Pie's personality in the show has some similarities to that of Jack Sparrow.
I am getting really thrown off by pinkie and rarity and the like being referred to as he.
...Or the luckiest. Seriously, I'm not sure if I should chock up most of Jack Sparrow's wins in the movies to his erratic nature, or his ungodly amount of amazing luck.
Nice chapter!
7949846 I know right
This is god tier
Interesting reinvisioning of Pirates. I'm curious how things will go. And what pairings other than Rainbow/Fluttershy
Hmmm... You know, I remember the movie almost perfectly, and I can tell, this is almost faust-damn word-for-word, which, I'll be honest, is a little off-putting, as I remember a rule that may or may not be there anymore stating that retellings of copy-righted media, (ie, insert-show/movie/media-name-here, but everyones a pony) is a bit of a big no-no.
...However... I'm now imagining Pinkie sword-fighting like Jack Sparrow, so I think I'll let this slide and simply enjoy the ride. (I may even watch the movie later, kind of got that itch now. So, there is that on your side)
8189265 Yeah, I've been pretty annoyed that I wasn't able to find a way to majorly change from the movie for this first part, but it should start diverging soon (if I can successfully write it how I envision it).
8189305 Actually, as I've read on I've seen some minor differences that started to add up. Not to mention the mane joke, that was gold.
Good job, hope to see more of this!
Why did you stop writing this story?
