This story is a sequel to The Key and the Lock

Spring break has arrived, and the girls are going on a cruise! They all enjoy the sun, see some old acquaintances, and form memories they'll never forget.

Continuity: Homecoming

Pairing: Sunset/SciTwi, Applejack/Rainbow Dash, Rarity/Fluttershy

Note: In some chapters, I will switch away from Sunset's POV. I will note in the chapter title who I am speaking as for clarity.

Just like the Rainbooms were a great opening act for the EqG version of Doll $ Boxx, so is this chapter a great opening for what looks like a promising story. I look forward to reading more.

Good start to the cruise arc of the story!

Ah, but did Twilight check her checkist of checklists to check the checklist check?:twilightoops:

7908130

Being engaged to Sunset made her a little-laid back. Only one checklist now.

,Still working on the whole fear of being tardy though....:twilightoops:

Looking forward to watching this play out. Should be fun. :ajsmug::rainbowderp:

She could add a timeline to The One Checklist. That would ensure steps are completed at the precise time they are needed.

It won't defend against quesidillas though... :twilightoops:

“A bit of roasted corn, some buttered potatoes, rice, and a quesadilla.”

a quesadilla.

And now, Twiligh will discover her fear of quesadillas XD

Different Twilight, different rules.

Different setup. :twilightblush:

I...feel like I'm missing something regarding Twilight and quesadillas.

7913453 In season 5, episode 11(I think) where they find Pinkie's secret party files for each pony, she noted that Twilight is afraid of quesadillas, to which Twilight said "They're just so...cheesy," before slinking off screen.

The actual reason for it, though, is a subject for debate. Lactose intolerance? Fear of cheese? She's so fussy that she hates messy food? All of these have refutations and no clear answer, so it's one of those gray areas likely put in for comedy and therefore free for me to play with.

7913606 Ohhhh! Yeah, I remember that one-off line now lol.

This was cute. I like how they played off each other. I didn't expect that Dash had gone out of her way to make sure she roomed with AJ.

Wow. This is such a good idea! I must admit I wish I had thought of it first. You're a great writer with great ideas. I don't even ship Sunset and Twilight but I think this story might just cause me to do so;) And I love how you write Appledash, which is a ship that I am completely obsessed with. Good job. I can't wait for more!

7914546
And it's adorable to see the length Dash would go to just to sleep in the same room as Applejack. ;) I think I'm going to follow you now. It's a well-earned follow!

7914547

Aw shucks. That's mighty kind of you. :applecry:

7914568
Of course! You deserve it for such a great story. :scootangel:

A Kwaysadeea? :trollestia:

Just kidding around. I thought this chapter was very...cheesy. :raritywink: :trollestia:

Character depth. For me, it felt like you've really given Rainbow Dash a kind of 3-dimensional character I hadn't felt just from the movies (personality and background wise not animation wise). That's one of the things I love about your writing. This story is touching even if I'm more of a Sunlight than AppleDash fan because the characters feel so much more real and feeling. Thanks for such a great chapter~! :raritystarry:

One of these days I'm going to be drinking something when I read one of your comments and short out my monitor.

But I always appreciate the humor, BW.

7914867

Oh, and there's going to be a Flutters style chapter in this vein too, and possibly a Rarity.

Allykitty, you let Twilight have a quesadilla?! :pinkiegasp:
That's not a gouda idea, you muenster. You'd chedder be careful or it'll brie back to haunt you...:pinkiecrazy:

And i continue to like this story. :yay:

7915620

STOP! I can't take this PUNishment! :rainbowlaugh:

Hah! Gheeeeey! Been meaning to post that for a while but i kept forgetting. Still, getting saucy there Twilight. Keep it up and you'll fall right into the depths of depravity that i do so enjoy.

7918044

:facehoof:

I get the feeling you're not going to be satisfied until I write a steamy scene with them, aren't you?

7918058
Nah! Keep doing the strong suggestive start, then pan away thing. Been doing this a long time and I promise . . . your fans/followers imaginations are way better and far kinkier than anything you could write. A lesson I had to learn the hard way.

Good chapter and hey, Sunset's plan worked, didn't it? :twilightblush:

7918114

If I were Rainbow Dash, then I'd think that was a challenge...:rainbowdetermined2:

But I'm a girl more like Aj. Besides, I have a bit of an imagination myself :raritywink:

7918199
Me dear, Darlin' Allykitty . . . I once wrote a scene for a Buffy story with Willow, Kennedy AND Faith playing with maple syrup(They'd been eating breakfast in bed and wanted . . . dessert). Completely explicit, no punches pulled, totally descriptive. I still had at least 3 (that I can remember. This was nearly 10 years ago) reviewers tell me how tame the scene was, how badly I'd gotten it wrong, I didn't write the way they thought it should be, etc. :twilightangry2: After that, I started toning it back until I was just getting things started, then changed scenes.

I do remember one, though, that informed me on the correct use of syrups and liquids during sex play. That was eye opening, I assure you! :raritywink:

7918242

Oh I believe you.

But the idea is tempting...

7918252

Then, by all means, get it out of your system. We'll read it, right folks? :pinkiehappy:

EDIT: Okay, that kinda came out wrong. *sigh* It sounded so good in my head.

7918269 I'm all for authors writing outside of their comfort zone, or branching out into the adult scene, but if it's not something you feel you need, don't force yourself to do it. My comments are more playful than anything, although i do very much enjoy the racy bits.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it, but it's not something i need. I have plenty of clop stored away and what i don't have I'm currently writing myself. You do you.

7918269
i was expecting a cute fluffy story of Twi and Sunset being all adorable.
you have given me that so far.
its possible to have that AND have sexytimes as well.
as long as the chapter is labeled, and YOU are ok with writing itt, then by all means go ahead

7918261

It's all good.

I may get a little more in depth when I finish Chaos Theory for reasons that will become obvious later. But that is a story for another time. *cut to Conan on his throne*

As this story goes, tonigh I have a Fluttershy POV planned in the same light as the Applejack one. Rarishy, anyone?

7918914
Always been more of a FlutterMac shipper meself. Rarity and Fluttershy always struck me as too much of the designer/model pairing cliche. Just my personal opinion, so YMMV.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that it's pretty ironic that all this shipping is taking place on a cruise?

Oh gosh, I love those two.

7921089

Well, ground shipping isn't much faster, and we can`t have ships on a plane... can we?:pinkiehappy:

So precious! I love this couple so much!

 Sunset and SciTwi continue to be the best!

7921299

Air shipping is another $12.95. Express is $20. It's simply too expensive.

7922302

And overnight shipping is $50! :pinkiegasp:
Lucky for us, most pony shipping is free.

7921299 I, personally, am tired of these monkey fighting ships on this Monday to Friday plane, myself, so the luxury cruise ship works perfectly for me.

I think I died reading this. One of the best rarishy scenes I've ever read!
