NocturnalSillyness

I write silly things to read too late at night. Cutie mark: probably a turnip or something, I can't see from this angle.

Thank you! Most kind.

Though when I read it again, I find numerous small typos and other errors. If it attracts any attention to speak of, I should probably go through it once more.

7556473 I would be very grateful if you did!

Twilight goes back in time to have sex with herself in this story, right?

Hmm, interesting theory just occured to me. What if Cadance left that paper on purpose? Maybe she wanted Twilight to fuck her instead of herself? Just a thought.

If this were the case, then there will be a very frustrated Cadance somewhere else in the castle. Poor thing.

7557591 Without saying too much, the references to Cadence were put into the story quite late, when I wondered if I should perhaps continue it, to keep some doors open.

I think this chapter stands well on its own. It explores one idea and pulls it to a natural conclusion. If I were to continue it, I would need to expand on that idea in some way. As a matter of fact, I have some scribblings that could become a second chapter, but it won't flow well. It all depends on the success on the first chapter, really. Would anyone be interested in more?

There's something that always bothered me about stories like this. Would a selfcest baby be considered inbred or a clone? Inquiring minds would like to know. For science.:twilightblush:

Also this story is :moustache:

*edit* a continuation where twilight 'accidentally' leaves a paper on time travel for cadence to 'find' would be awesome

I could not help but read this entire story in that one voice, that makes every action movie sound cool. It's so funny if you read it like that.

Inbred. The child would not be an exact genetic duplicate because they would get a random selection from each pair of chromosomes.
A clone could eventuate, but it would require that for every chromosome in a pair that one parent provided, the other parent provides the other ones.
The other extreme is also possible, where both parents provide the same chromosome from each pair; this would result in a much higher amount of the dangers of inbreeding eventuating.

It would actually be even more dangerous than a sibling inbred child. It wouldn't be a clone because no two sperm or two eggs share the same exact genetic sequence, there's variation which is why children from the same parents still share some genetic diversity. However, since the only DNA to chose from would be your own, a selfcest child would be guaranteed to share any recessive gene pairs that you have, and any that you only have a single of would have a 25% chance of having a doubled pair in a selfcest offspring.

7559212 I read it in Markiplier's voice for Mr. Midnight in Fran Bow. :rainbowlaugh:

Pretty much exactly what it sets out to do, and just about the best conceivable version of that. I tip my hat to you, sir! :ajsmug:

7563382 Thank you so much for the kind words!

I would also like to thank everyone who read, rated, favourited, and tracked this little story of mine. I am humbled and absolutely flabbergasted by the popularity so far. It's great to be able to entertain you!

Thanks for the info guys. I enjoy learning new things.

But if Twilight is smart, which she is. She could magic her way out of that by magically editing the DNA and pretty much making a clone of herself... OR finding a different pony, like Pinkie, getting their DNA and using it to edit the DNA via magic... However, unethical that may or may not be.....
