He's not the most important character, being the butt that he can be, but there's at least two more chapters where he comes into play, one of which he makes a very important impact.
There's something he has to say to Starlight, especially since he's just started to understand the magic of friendship. It's important.
Re-reading this chapter, I only have one thing to say, heavy. This was really heavy. Poor Starlight, the guilt really has gotten to her hasn't it.
I'll say this again, an amazing writing style, it really conveys and paints the picture for us.
Hmm... How strong are those GreedGold bands?
Do they block individual magic or do they block it according to species seeing that alicorns are a combination of all three pony species.

As I've yet to explore the idea more outside of blocking unicorn magic, I would imagine that there's separate versions for each individual race. Unicorns get bands around their horns, earth ponies get bands like manacles around their hooves, and pegasi get bands that clasp around the bases of where their wings meet their backs.
