This really feels like an introduction to a story rather than a whole piece, unless it's simply meant to be a slightly different version of the tale told. In the latter case I think it lacks in the presentation and framing department. Ever seen Princess Bride? I also think that adding Celestia does very little for the story, it could be viewed as a symbolic destruction of Equestria and an AU distancing from any sort of canon ties, but any other pony would have done for the story in some ways. Incidentally ,it's not hard to imagine a scenario where the pony in question was not Princess Celestia at all (though he/she/.. may have been arguing against Snowfall's arrest/imprisonment) but rather's Snowfall's mind playing tricks on her (she really isn't in the best of condition at that point anyway).

Personally I was hoping for a bit more, perhaps an exploration of what it really means to have been transformed into a Windigo (which I presume is what happened to Snowfall Frost in this story) and maybe what the effects of the Windigos' return to Equestria were. It's not clear what became of them in the show canon besides being sort of mostly gone and/or not bother Equestria. Given the description they must have not been eradicated in this AU, but it does seem a bit odd for there to be a ton of them all of a sudden. Makes one wonder about the origin of Windigos. Are they transformed ponies, individual unicorns/ponies who brought it on their own heads, or of more natural beginnings...
