I'm not saying you have to describe everything in perfect detail, but it would help to say more than just "strange clothing" and "a sword." You could just give a few details and let the pictures do the rest. It's just a suggestion, you do whatever you want or feel comfortable with.

7217487 I say strange clothing becuase I have no idea what type of clothes the picture shown. I post pictures to things I don't know how to describe, like the sky palace, Ultimate Tirek, God King Saanvodkiin.

It's how I roll. If you read my early fics, you'll see that I had no idea how to describe anything so I resorted to images but as time passed, I began to rarely use images.

That's fair, I wouldn't really know how to describe some of those things either. As for past stories, I think I've only read Dragon God of Equestria, and now that I think about it pictures didn't seem to be there too often, at least as far as I can remember. Now, I would suggest mentioning the gun barrel on the sword, but due to the perspective when it was mentioned, it wouldn't really make any sense. I don't know what to tell you, put a little research in, ask others for advice? Either way, it's strangely not really something that bothers me as much as other people apparently. Doesn't mean I don't care about it, I just don't feel the need to mention it most of the time.

Besides, it's my fic. My writing is law in this universe. (It just means that I wouldn't give a Damn how people negatively comment on the smallest things. Except you, you're the only one who had actually wondered about the use of images)

Exactly, Spike shouldn't know what guns are, so it wouldn't make sense (depending on head canon).
