Well, the spy is screwed.
7140642 I was in no way heavily inspired by that fight scene in anyways shape or form.
R.I.P. Random Spy
????-Fuck
7140575 Eeyup, he dun goofed up!
A fantastic chapter. For some reason I pictured Nightgale as a pony version of Walter from Hellsing. It just fit him for me I guess XD
7140704 I can honestly say I have no idea where he came from.
he just seemed like the type of aide Luna would have.
When is the EDF gonna enter Princess Twilight Sparkles Equestria?
7140773 at some point, I have it all planed out and it will be very entertaining.
7140777 Ok just wanted to know
7140932 going to say, that was totally unintentional as the character was made in about 2 seconds of thought.
he fits Luna so well though so I had to use him.
Two chapters in one day? Sir, you made my day.
7141093 I write everyday but can only get on at random so when I am on I upload what I have.
I hope the commander no wait Reaper gets a private sound prof cell because there is going to be a lot of screaming
The spy is bucked.
Yeesssss....make sure he suffers for his actions. Lord Khorne demands his blood.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!
oh god...well...spy...it was nice not knowing you because you are in for a WORLD of pain and misery.
I enjoyed this. Now, did anyone else envision Nightingale as Walter from Hellsing? I mean, he is 'just' a butler...

I almost feel sorry for the spy.
Almost.
7140688 Nah her pounding ot the freelancers was more epic because they could fight.
7140575
7142380 Yep. Oh, and that other freelancer was York, in case it didn't come to you.
You little... I was doing so well too.
This is awesome mate, and I can't wait for more!
7143598 she wasn't referring to that. Though I knew some would fall into that trap. What he was referring to was The Great Game or The Game of Houses tha is Equestrian politics.
7148682 .... Damn it.
7148682 You read Raymon E. Feist's book, the Daughter of the empire? This is the tsurani Great Game
7140575 likely with a hoof(thumb)screw too!
Special operations butler.
He has no idea in what he has gotten himself into has he? For the record I will actually feel petty for him and hope he gets the kind side of the commander.
If Nightingale say he's one hell of a aid I'm going to hide
7411826 no hes the equestrian pepermint butler
8066885
No, he's Equestrian Sebastian Michealis!
Sadly you are right about that, read a history book a real one and it messy gritty and reeks of death.

What did you expect? Humans are the masters of warfare, as we have fought each other for a very long time, revolutionizing and evolving the way we fight each other time and time again. Which is why I sometimes laugh at the Sci-Fi stories where humans are technologically outmatched and/or facing death and extinction because I know something most humans try desperately to deny or hide: while our warrior’s edge may have dulled somewhat with modern warfare, our survival instincts are still very sharp. And when our backs are against the wall (metaphorically speaking), all bets are off, as we will do anything and everything we can to survive as a species.

Ah but you forget one aspect of that histoty, in war the side with the superior tech saughters the other side.
Those Sci Fi fics have the humans up agint enemies that are technologially superior to us or just as good at war as us.
Humans may be good at war, but when the enemy has better weapons then you, then they win.
The true hard Sci Fi fics actually take a good long hard look at humans, behaviors history and so on. and then base the story off that.
we are good at war and fighting but we are still quite killable just like everything else. we are not perfect...far from it.
but reaper wouldn’t mind
o this spy gonna be left broken r.i.p (rest in pieces)
The military mare had used to think the Gala was just a really boring party but after becoming a player in The Game of Houses she had learned it was one of the most dangerous fields of battle the mare had ever set foot in. The Gala was where The Game was at its peak and maneuvers that would affect the nation in the coming year took place. Ill prepared ponies had been ground to dust at the Gala and there was no way of knowing who would be walking away with power and who went home as a pawn, She had witnessed firsthand major power shifts as the ponies at the Gala went from Players to pawns and pawns to Players in seconds and then back within the hour.
-Winter comes early then eh?
I like this Equestria's MI6. :D

Took a few years to respond, I know. But I was catching up on said good Sci-Fi fics. And while yes, we are quite killable and may (may, mind you) lose against a technological superior force, they have one thing in common.
We still terrified the enemy. We didn’t just gave them a bloody nose as we died out, oh no. We terrified them to the point of becoming the monsters hiding under their bed, the nightmares that plague the populace, the boogeyman to their children. That is what we are capable of, that is what I meant.
Everytime someone asks this in the story I'm like "you want the simple answer or the complex awnser".
Because it's more than just "war".
If your gonna do that please don't do it in front of anyone.
