A new year is about to start, and Sunset Shimmer, for the most part, has managed to repair her reputation at Canterlot High. There is one thing that has started bothering her, though.
Seeing Fluttershy so happy with Coppermane has given Sunset something to long for. However, her past continues to fill her with guilt and doubt, even after all this time. How could anyone truly forgive her? After everything she's done, how could she deserve anything like what Fluttershy has? Does she deserved to be loved like that? With all these thoughts, she can't help but feel selfish too.
How could anyone love a monster like her?
However, Sunset's luck may be taking a turn when a new student comes to Canterlot High.

7613052 Because I couldn't come up with anything, and I want to move on to other things in this universe, particularly another big project between the main couple of this universe. This story would get in the way of it all, and I didn't want it hanging over my head waiting for a place, so I cancelled it. Besides, when I cancelled it, I had written 2 stories for Sunset Shimmer, like her fluff oneshot and another random oneshot. I gave her quite a bit of love, so I think it's fine.
