When 3 inches of snow appear, closing schools for Friday, the Shadowbolts take Twilight to see her classmates at Canterlot High, including the Dazzlings. What happens next is pure, and weird fun.

This was inspired from the Winter Storm in TN on 1/22/16 as I was watching one local news broadcast that stayed on the air, talking about the snow storm and road conditions. Interesting things happened during that time.

Yep Tennesse logic close school over 3 INCHES OF SNOW. But I'm a homeschooler so I still have to do schoolwork, even though I live in Tennessee. GO BLUE DEVILS.

6869799 Well, it wasn't a cold sheet of ice like last year, but some snow would contain black ice underneath. And when you think about metro, it's harder to melt snow when there's too much shade in the area.

:rainbowlaugh: Three inches. Oh, that's rich. Three inches is a nuisance. We got more than a foot from that storm up here.

Okay, relative weather concerns aside... eh. The characterization is so weak that most of the characters blend together or fade into the background. There's no sense of priority; potentially interesting events are glossed over while long stretches of the story consist of unnecessary details. There are a few moments of intrusive, immersion-shattering exposition in the narration. Last and least, there's a lot of homophone confusion, most notably the its/it's distinction. (When it has an apostrophe, it's a contraction of "it is," not a possessive.)

Don't get me wrong, there are some fun moments, but your style needs a lot of refinement.

6869888 It was the spur of the moment, so I tried my best. Grammar check should have picked those up.

BTW: Nashville said that they got 8 inches.

6869827 that's true, what part of middle Tennessee are you from?"

Shoveling T-rexes! Yes! :rainbowlaugh:

6871627 South Franklin, not far from Spring Hill

6871705 And after I finished it, the next day there was a video of a T-Rex and Stay Puff in a snow fight and chase. Did not see that coming.

But...three inches is like really tiny. How could school be canceled?

6872353 Because pressed snow becomes slushy ice, which if found on upward roads and/or wooded areas will lead to having your car in the ditch, or worse. This includes big rig trucks that want to jack-knife their payload and block the roads. And if it's really cold, then it will freeze into ice overnight. It was around this time in 2003 that schools didn't properly plan to get students out and back home when the roads got bad. Students were stuck at school for hours. They didn't want to take any chances now in this matter.

3 inches of fun ... does not seem much ... giggity ...
