I have to say this story is pretty accurate about the collapse of Ming dynasty. However, telling this part of history (which was filled with death, horror and misery) using cute little ponies doesn't seem so... My Little Pony?

There's something of a psychological attachment I have to writing things in terms of MLP. I never really wrote anything before I wrote fanfiction. When I think of writing things, I first think of it in an MLP context. Of course with subject matters such as this, it has exceedingly little to do with the ponies themselves. It's about using recognizable symbols, even if what the symbols are used to represent the opposite of what they usually do.

Or its just a really absurd premise and makes me laugh.

Sorry, but this is incomplete. In any retelling of the Ming Collapse you have to bring up the treasure fleet and how abandoning it was like abandoning the Space Program and 'Murica is doomed if we don't go to Mars.
