For what it's worth, I actually had to wipe the tears out of my eyes writing some of this. Most things I write turn depressing. Maybe I'm putting too much truth into the fantasy.
That was really depressing. It would have helped if she something like "Not yet, give us time first" or "let me explain something to you first before you ask that again" Just a no, and then letting him go? Harsh and sad!!!
In the war of the person of changeling girl, there are two sides. He chose a bad moment to propose. The queen won the battle , perhaps the girl lost the war.
Time will tell.
The princesses in Canterlot will hear a scream. The sound of ultimate suffering. One of them will depart to the train crash site. After achieving peace, they could loose it if the changeling queen is no longer mentally stable. She may have been able to let him go, but perhaps not strong enough to loose him so soon. If he can be saved, it's in Equestrian interests to ensure it is done.
Guilt is a terrible magnifier.
while sad i know how it feels but there are times to prophose(english 2nd language) and times to deal bisness and that wasn't the time to prophose even in front of the princesses
Keep going you magnificent bastard! For a life without pain is a life without joy without fun!

Yeah but she should have chosen better words like not right now. By not explaining she given the impression to him that she doesn't love him. She could have told him that she couldn't get married yet because there was too much to do. Celestia and Luna get responsibly but he doesn't get what it takes to be a leader. He just someone who cares and is willing to help others. He didn't care what she looked like because he saw her for her.
