Seeing as Bonny isn't a new pony in town, Pinkie might not be throwing her a new pony in Ponyville party. Which would mean it's a welcome back to Ponyville party instead, which will be even bigger and louder. Just the kind of thing a former spy trying to blend in wants to have.

Upon reflection, yes, you are correct that it is.
In the "Winningverse," (aka CK as Ethical Slut from a long warrior tradition), the Long Patrol is one of the Guard assignments. This isn't a winningverse story (nothing against it - that's just not where I'm going here), but since I do read that series, that bit of influence snuck in. CK isn't going to be someone who tries to sleep with anything with hooves (and a few things without em), but the Winningverse CK does have a couple similarities to Sam Axe from BN - from a military background, and a womanizer.

This can only end in my joy. This can either be done by wallowing in schadenfreude, having some kind of semi-romantic end, or simply something bittersweet. I suppose it's time to read!
Now that I've read it (first thing in the morning), I can safely say that this was bucking awesome. If this wasn't two years after the last update, I'd be eager to see the next chapter "any day now". I suppose I'll just have to put this in the back of my head, until its potential Miraculous Resurrection.
