I just wanted to point out this part of the story.
"A new joint is formed between your knee and feet, giving you the distinctive bend that comes with having the legs of a lion."
The 'extra' joint is a misunderstanding of anatomy I've seen a lot of people get confused by. Humans walk on their feet while quadruped mammals like lions walk on their toes. That 'extra' bend you see between the knee and the toes is just a longer foot raised up. If you go down on your hands and toes you'll realize your feet will be sticking up as it's impossible for you to walk on your feet and your hands at the same time. Now just imagine your upper and lower leg being shortened and your foot made longer and you'd basically have the same shape most quadruped mammals have.

That was an amazing gilda fanfic and the first fanfic that I have read where a human transforms into a griffon
and I wish there were more good gilda fanfics like this but don't see many
