IT'S A DISASTER!!
This is a calamity on so many levels. First, Twilight's friends are taking it pretty badly. The survival of the Mane 6's friendship is now shaky. Second, how are Shining Armour and Princess Celestia going to take the news? Shiny would be devastated, even more than Cadence probably. Princess Celestia? She thinks of Twilight as a daughter in some regards so she'd be terribly upset, and very angry with the changelings. Third, how are the Mane 6 going to wield the Rainbow Power if Twilight has severe apathy?
I can sum this up in one word.
SHIPWRECK!!
Do not fuck with Cadance.
Seriously. This cute pink pony princess with the wussy girly Love powers will fuck your shit up if you cross her. With Chrysalis' horde smushed like bugs and Sombra reduced to his horn, Cadance is the deadliest alicorn in the show -- not because she's more powerful than Celestia, Luna, or Twilight, but she's much more ruthless. I am so glad to see that here; Cadance is possibly the only one of the four alicorns who would torture an enemy for revenge. Psychological torment, of course, she'd never stoop to physical torture.
And Spinnerette deserves every moment of it.

Awesome comment. I'm sick of the idea that femininity = helplessness and a Strong Female Character ™ has to be a butt-kicking warrior or a cold-hearted shrew. Cadance is sweet and vulnerable but she's no pushover. Thanks for the good word.
