I like this little world you're building- the changelings aren't mindless drones, but their personalities aren't overwhelming (which is hard to do with an OC). I'll be tracking!

Well, that's not a bad start! I had a look after seeing the link you posted on UK of E, and this looks like a potentially very interesting story. Always hard to tell on the basis of a chapter or two, but especially for a first fanfic, this isn't bad at all. It could certainly do with a good proofread to iron out the (fairly numerous but generally minor) technical flaws, but it's quite a promising start as far as the actual story is concerned. I did particularly like the way the protagonist reacted to the Moon: it's always good to make changelings seem a little alien.
