Stupidly shocking. Everything going according to her plans? That's just Villain Sue territory right there. I knew going in that this would get dark but..... this is honestly depressing to me. It feels like everything that was built up from Book 1 to now has been for nothing..... I highly doubt I'm coming back unless it promises MAJOR changes.

I don't really care too much for the ending. Unless, of course, Twilight becomes an alicorn and goes full Jesus. Would she have the power to revive the dead, if she goes this route?

Perhaps it a bit late to be making predictions as the next story has already started, but I'm going to go ahead and make one. Twilight isn't dead, based on a rule when it comes to death in anime. If you don't see confirmation of the death happening, it probably didn't happen. With others being shot, we get an image painted of a bullet passing through the skull or something that doesn't allow for much hope. With Twilight here, we got

Surprise raised her gun and fired. A stunned silence fell over the Elementals as they watched Twilight's body collapsed to the floor.

No depiction of where the bullet hit. Only that she was hit and fell, at minimum, unconscious. Going with the "rule", Twi is very much alive. Now it's just a question of if Surprise knows Twi isn't dead. If she does, I see Twi being a captive and a rescue mission happening in the next story. If she doesn't, then Twi probably woke up after Surprise and her goons left to round up those still at the hotel, slipped away, and will be trying to find the now hidden remnants of the Elementals.

Talk about a cliffhanger.
