After a long day of listening to nobles and a bit of a problem with some of them along with Blueblood and the ambassador of the dragon kingdom. Now Twilight is to be given to the dragon lord to keep a war from breaking out. not on her life.
I have plenty of problems with this story (mostly characterisation and grammar issues), but this encounter is probably the worst.
"Seven Flashes." She stated as there was screeching sound and Twilight put her hand up and closed it canceling whatever attack the woman sent her way out making her eyes fly open.
Seven Flashes is a purely physical attack - Kanzaki is literally just swinging her sword at super-speed, and the wires attached to it are cutting through objects. That's why Touma couldn't negate it. Is Twilight literally holding all seven wires in place with TK? If so, you should probably explain that.
"You know if I hadn't sensed it I wouldn't have believed it. This is a magical spell, a bit old since I can see the runes placed around the area. Oh and your friend can come out of hiding to since I can sense him to." She said as the woman gawked at her while a man in a cloak with fire red hair appeared out of the darkness.
Kanzaki wouldn't be gawking at a strange magician, she'd be raising her guard. Also, Stiyl is actually a master of cloaking his mana signature - he fools both the alchemist and the Amakusa with mirages so that they think he's somewhere else. If he's actually hiding, Twilight has no chance at finding him.
"Please your magic is ancient compared to others I know." She smiled
Kanzaki and Stiyl both invented their signature spells, as most Index magicians have. Twilight is the one using ancient spells.
"How is this possible?!" The woman said as Twilight smirked.
Twilight can't react at super-speed, so Kanzaki would just cleave the golems in half and knock Twilight senseless.
"Pathetic." She said as the card turn to dust and her sword was slammed back into the sheath and bound to it.
I have no idea what spell you have Twilight using here, but considering that the People-Clearing-Field is already up, Stiyl must have already scattered his cards everywhere (as you pointed out earlier this chapter!) so destroying just one of his cards should do nothing. Innocentius >> Golems.
"Where I come from I am the Element of Magic." She growled snapping her fingers and they slammed into the ground as they cried out in pain.
Kanzaki goes on in the series to fight an archangel to a standstill, while deliberately avoiding killing blows (i.e. holding back). Considering that the same angel turned day to night and rearranged the stars, they are probably the best Index counterparts to Alicorns, power-wise. (They move and attack faster then the eye can see though, so they are much faster). I can't see Twilight overpowering Kanzaki though brute force, especially when you factor in Kanzaki's speed and ability to sense Twilight casting before any spell finishes.
i'm loving this! it's even better since i actually know some of the story for the original series!
I don't know anything about whats going on, and I couldn't care less, because you make it awesome Slice!
yeah next to twilight there magic is nothing i mean she was a alicorn before coming here
*twitches from the epic and starts wondering if the lvl 6 shift arc will show up*
