After Twilight delivers a batch of books to Sweet Apple Acres as a gesture of goodwill, she finds that Big Macintosh is not interested in her offerings. Through her efforts to discover why, she inadvertently discovers his most shameful secret.
After returning to Ponyville from Canterlot, Sweetie Belle tries her best to find her place amongst friends and family and to remember what it feels like to be home. This story takes place 4 days after the finale of Scion of Chaos.
Twilight Sparkle awakens one morning to find all of Ponyville wholly consumed by a spreading cloud of white. Hopefully The Stranger inside her castle can help her understand what this all means.
Twilight has always loved mysteries. Almost nothing could compare to the joy she feels when finding an answer to a question no pony knew. But now she's solved a mystery with an answer she doesn't want, and it's one she can never forget
Twilight makes one last visit to her old house, only to see that she wasn't the only visitor. Turns out, that there are more ponies beyond her friends that regret the destruction of her dear library.
I loved this story! It always felt heart touching, not to mention I do feel VERY sympathetic for Twilight, since my house actually did burn down like 5 years ago, but 'tis is well now.
I wouldn't mind a second chapter/ epilogue which wrapped up anything and/ or showed us who wrote the letter. I have half a mind to think it's Discord, but it's probably not him, since he would also be writing sorry in there.
You shouldn't use more than one exclamation point.
Also, there needs to be a paragraph break after: And I shall never see you give up.
Very sweet story, I thought. Just glad you didn't say "Great and Powerful Friend". One wonders how Twilight will cope with the library's destruction in the new series, or if it'll even be mentioned at all.
That was pretty sad. But it was also really nice to see that there is somepony else who felt the same as Twilight. Wonder who the pony that sent the letter and the yellow rose is?
Jeez..... I'm honestly wanting to know who sent it. CONTINUE THIS STORY!
I expected the letter to have been written by Trixie

The feels! They're killing me! As for the letter, judging from how it was signed off, I'd say Trixie wrote it.
4809041 Corrected. Thank you for the suggestions!
Actually; there is an entire episode devoted to the tree in Season 5.

You're welcome.
And is there? Cool. I'm trying to avoid spoilers for the new series, so I don't know much of anything about it.
I believe you're missing a word there. It should be "sadness and sorrow"
Would work better if you deleted "like". Now it just sounds strange.
Took less what?
There's a space too much after "mess".
Delete "was".
Delete the second "she".

Probably Trixie.
Don't read the comments first. Major spoilers.
That said, I just know that it's Trixie.
