This story does not stop in its ability to not only show the perfect reactions from characters, but also a way to so deeply affect someone despite simply being based on a TV show to the point that your whole body shakes while you fight the tears.
I will see this through to the end, but I pray that in some way Fluttershy can be brought peace in light of the curse now set upon her.
Choke back tears cry some tears this touch me.....a lot. Let's hope Fluttershy we'll be cured from this and go to the afterlife happily.God my head hurts now cause I didn't let myself sob. CURSE U RATEDPONYSTAR!!!
4487576 Ponystar might be doing the Masquerade route, in which staking the heart would forcefully induce torpor, a deep sleep. I for one would be delighted if the Masquerade rules apply here.
Even though a picture tells a thousand words but the chapter name still felt out of place. I expected ro actually read about the resurrection and the events surrounding it, not just get treated to one small image (Which was scary as f**k, cudos to your artist.).
Anyway the chapter name caused me to expect something that was never delivered.
Also, its spelled 'altar' not 'alter'. Maybe you want to alter the sentence with the altar.
4488194 Probably not. If I was in their situation, and my former best friend tried to hunt me down, tear my throat out, and drink my blood like water, I'd probably try to kill them, as much as it would pain me to do so. Unless they're like the Vamps from "30 Days of Night". Then I'd piss my pants and run.
To my knowledge of various sources, the notion of hammering a stake through a vampires heart was simply to nail the creature into its coffin so it couldn't move or get up. The stake can be wood, or metal, but wood is so popular since it was plentiful. From there you'd cut off the head, killing it. Either way, cutting off the head of any vampire will kill it. I don't know how true it is to say that cutting off the head of the Lead Vampire whom turned subsequent people into vampires, would turn them back to normal. With the Twilight saga/books, I'm calling bullshit that the only way to kill a vampire is to tear off its arms, head, and legs and burn everything.
Twilight did get one thing right, however; fire is one of their few weaknesses. They burst into flames. They unintentionally retconned that, when they made one of the vampires have control over all the elements, including fire.
I have my doubts about the whole "Cut the head off the Alpha Vamp and everyone goes back to normal." I always saw a Vampire along the lines of a "30 Days of Night" Vamp. Cold, calculating, ruthless, with extreme speed, strength, and no room for mercy. And once you get bitten by one of those Vamps, there's no going back for you.
I'm gonna sound like a child hearted bastard, but I didn't cry. That's not to say I didn't shed a few tears, but I surely didn't go all out. I daresay that Fluttershy's death only serving to move the plot forward is the reason I didn't. Knowing that she isn't even dead for the remainder of the story didn't help either.
I would say this is all my opinion, but it feels more like an observation. If anyone cried, there's nothing wrong with that. I just keep myself busy with half assed reviews.
5088148 Seing as you add images in your chapters, I take that the editing phase takes quite a long time. How much time approximately do you need for your chapters?
Sorry, I just can't help myself but to write this now:
As the mysterious series of dead ponies on the open streets continues, the heroines seek the help of Discord. But upon discovering him, the five mares have to realize with a shock that he, too, had been the victim of an attack. His various coats and animal skins were so pale, it could nearly be considered snow white. Bite marks were seen on his neck, small spurts of blood still flowing out of them. He seemed to have heard the ponies approach and put all his strength into turning his head towards them. The expression he made did not suit his condition in the least bit.
Discord was smiling.
Twilight Sparkle was the first to come running towards him.
"Oh my gosh! What happened? Who did this to you?" she asked, almost shouting.
"She is back," Discord replied weakly, but with unspeakable joy and relief. "My dear friend is back. I am so happy... so... happy..."
His eyes were still open as his body became limp and he exhaled his final breath. A single tear rolling down his cheek seemed to be all the liquid that was left in him.
I was holding it in. I was doing reaaaaly well. I was able to not cry like a little baby and keep it in...then you brought in Discord you buttface. And I just lost it. This is a really great story. Really wonderful. And the artwork is great! The only suggestion I would have made with the ending pic is that the eyes be shown opening slowly as she awakens again. That sudden, HEY I'M A VAMPONY! was a little...sudden. XD But otherwise GREATJOB to both of you
Really feel bad for Rainbow because she's almost guaranteed to either be a victim or the pony that inevitably has to kill Fluttershy for good, but hey we've got a while before that happens. Right now, it's time for the slaughter to begin.
Not quiet through with this chapter yet but I'm going to recommend dropping the red color when you say blood. After the first chapter it just starts to look more silly than dark especially when pops up multiple times in a paragraph.

Well... I don't know what to say. Not many stories managed to make my eyes moist(not exactly tears but close enough) but this chapter did it, congratulations.

Edit
10minutes later and I still feel like crying when I think about this chapter.
This, Is amazing. I dont have anything to say beyond Amazing!
Well, Fluttershy is going to start killing soon. At least she'll be in pretty dress doing it!
That's hardly a grave. That's a tomb.
If she gets slain, I am going to cry my eyes out.
I also need to speak my mind. If she does get slain, are you gonna do it Supernatural style and cut her head off or Dracula style and stake her?
4487576
You'll see what happens
4487576
Does it look like they would have a choice?

I've been checking every single day for an update for this.
It's here, I've read it.
Now what?
I wait.
I wait for the next update.
Celestia's Speed Ponystar.
Celestia' Speed.
O things just got real.
This is getting exciting.

Wouldn't she eventually come back?

AAAAWWWWWW!

If the stake is removed and she has time to recover, yes.

I like this, very sad and yet very scary at the same time.
(PS: I hope she goes after Blueblood in this story.)
Oh yeah, this is good. I'm definitely looking forward to more. Very well done, very well done indeed.
Please keep writing, I'll keep reading.
I hope you plan to continue this story. The last chapter is quite a while ago. So far, this is pretty good stuff.

My editor was on vacation after a long work project. And it cost money to do the art. That's why I started doing one shot commissions.
Ah I see. Impressive what effort you put into your work.

How not to cry:
1. Hold it in.
2. Fall on the floor.
3.cry.
Bravo...
Statues of angels
I've always wondered about this. What does a pony angel look like? Larger wings? More wings?
you just made me cry... how I mean I've never cried at a movie or story (besides my little dashie)
The buried her tomb?
Keep the feels coming why don't you.
Really feel bad for Rainbow because she's almost guaranteed to either be a victim or the pony that inevitably has to kill Fluttershy for good, but hey we've got a while before that happens. Right now, it's time for the slaughter to begin.
The Angel of Kindness is dead, and thus, the Demon of Cruelty is born...
Damn it, now I'm bawling my eyes out and my brother is looking at me and saying "the fuck is wrong with you?"
This chapter made me cry so hard. In a sad way.
AJ has officially became my least favorite background pony. This was because of her stubbornness. Ooh, I do hope they find out the reason.
Not quiet through with this chapter yet but I'm going to recommend dropping the red color when you say blood. After the first chapter it just starts to look more silly than dark especially when pops up multiple times in a paragraph.
