A new mission.

"Yo, Konner, get up." I here Mark, my best friend and roommate, shout at me as I groggily fall out of my bed.

"I'm out of the bed, does that count?"

"Get your ass in here, you've gotta see this."

"See what?" I ask as I get up and go to the living room of our house. "What the fuck."

"I know right!"

"Where the hell did it come from?"

"I don't know it just appeared!"

"Holy hell man, not everyday you get to see a new continent appear. Who do you think's gonna take it?"

"Probably Venide or EGF. Sirius has already got 3 territories." Beep Beep Beep.

"Turn the TV off man, we got a job."

"Sweet, who from?"

"Sirius."

"How much."

"250,000 Au each with a 100,000 Au bonus if it's quick."

"Nice, let's get ready then, it's gonna be a long day."

2 weeks later

"Sister are you sure a 'Merc' is what we need? Surely the royal guards could handle this?" Luna said to her sister.

"We already know they are much more advanced than us, they would surely crush us without this. We can only afford one though. We aren't sure if it will be enough."

"Only one! How much do they cost?"

"Well the cheapest one I could find was extremely low ranking, and was still a good chunk of our treasury."

"My word, that's robbery!"

"They might die so they can live and if they don't do this they're homeless, they may as well charge a lot."

"... this world is horrid, you know that right?" Luna asked.

"Yes, I'm aware."

"Is this the only way to get them?"

"Well, some are part of the actual military, but their devices would still cost a lot to repair without our own 'tower' as they call them."

"Then we need to take one."

"But sister, we are peacefu-"

Luna cut her off, "But they are not. If we can recruit these 'humans' and some of their 'AC' pilots, we could take a tower and defend ourselves."

"I guess it's the easiest way. For now let us stock pile their technology, we will need it to survive."

"Yes, goodbye for now, sister."

"Goodbye Luna."

Meanwhile

"Did you see when I tore his arm off!" Mark laughed.

"Yeah, and then I melted off his other one and crushed his head and he was like 'Oh shit oh shit' and then BAM! Tore clean through him." I said equally as jovially. "It was fun seeing that asshole run for his life after he ejected."

"Hahaha" we laughed together as we were flown home.

"You guys know your fucked up right?" James, our pilot, asked.

"Oh yeah man, we know. That's why we're the pilots, and you're the, other, pilot thing." Mark said.

"Give it a break you two, we're almost home." Andrew, our operator, said.

"Cool, I need to rest my feet." I said as I swung the feet of my AC causing James to have to readjust.

"Quit that you!" The two in the Storker said.

"Alright, fine." I said as I stopped.

"Haha, you got told man!" Mark said inbetween laughing.

The next morning

"Konner, were the hell is the bread?" Mark asked as I got dressed.

"How the fuck am I supposed to know, look." I replied in an oh so helpful manner.

"Ah, here-" beep beep beep "Well shit."

"Who's it from?" I ask as I walk out of the bedroom.

"That new Equestria country." Mark said.

"Cool, how much is it worth?"

"200,000 Au."

"Each?"

"For both to split."

"What do they want for that much?" I questioned, wondering what could possibly be worth that little.

"Defense from Venide's invasion forces. Comprised of mainly small units but a few AC's. Looks like I was right though,"

"Should we take it?"

"Why the hell not, we already got enough Au to last. We'll probably get to knock a few heads together while we're at it."

"Meh, may as well. Looks like they need it to. Accept it." I said.

"Okay. And, accepted." he responded.

Back in canterlot

"SISTER! ONE RESPONDED!"

"Sister, calm yourself, I'm sure it wa- ONE RESPONDED" Celestia exclaimed as she embraced her sister.

"This is most joyous news sister!"

"Indeed, we must alert the masses."

Back to Konner

"So what do you think there like?" Mark asked.

"I have no idea, but I hear they're all peaceful and shit." I said.

"Lame." Mark replied.

"ETA 3 minutes, get ready to land." James said of comms.

"Roger James." I said.

"You guys sure you wanna do this?" Andrew asked.

"Somebodies got to, might as well be us." I said.

"So, are we there yet?" I asked.

"No." said James.

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

I paused for about 30 seconds, acting like I'd stopped. "Are we there yet?"

"NO!"

"Fine, jeez, loosen up. Damn." I said.

"ETA 30 seconds, castles in view now." Andrew said.

"Wow, they sure did go all out, eh?" Mark said.

"Yeah, wanna make an entrance?" I asked.

"Oh yeah."

"Guys don't they're-" Andrew started.

"Woohoo!" me and Mark exclaimed as we detached.

"Not, used, to us." Andrew finished and sighed. "Dammit guys."

okay. I'm not going in with good first impressions. with no knowledge of the source material, or even being able to identify what the source material even is(even when googleing important looking terms like UNAC or AC merc), is not a good start.

so much swearing. Tone it down if possible. its seriously jarring.

just a point, if they were actually being offered a lot of money, and 200 000AU simply is not a bad conversion rate, then why do these guys need to work? i quote:

we already got billions of Au.

third, there was almost no scene or character description. i know Show dont tell mostly applies, but i would at least like to know how mark if mark is a relative or a friend of the other person, who is as of yet, unnamed.

also, first contact is totally skipped over. i would have loved to see the very first contact of Equestria and this mech-wielding civ,

seriously? I think i know what you were trying to achieve, and no. Equestria is a perfectly normal spelling, with not much margin possible for error. id get this person some help if his reading skills are that poor that the simple phonetic skills did not occur to him. and you cannot really handwave this with communication mediums. either his reading skills are that bad, or he was of poor hearing when it was relayed to him verbally.

still, i'd like to belive you can make something of this, and since i am literally never going to check, ill leave an upvote for that eventuality

4122308 The source material for the crossover is the game armored core verdict day. The other pilot besides Mark is named Konner. It has already been stated. The description for the story also states they are best friends. And as for why they continue to do it, they like what they do.
