The Ponyspawn have invaded Equestria, and it is up to the newest addition to the Grey Wardens, Twilight Sparkle, to find the means to drive them back! With her friends and allies at her side, can Twilight defeat the evil tide before all of Equestria is devoured?
Excellent story you have here, but you may want to proofread it again at some points. There were some pretty obvious typos that could be distracting, especially in the few cases of missing words making a sentence fragment. Still a great beginning, but make sure to proofread before you post.
Of all the DLC that will be added, The Stone Prisoner is a go. Shale is just too amusing to write. Return to Ostagar (in this case, Ostequus), will also be featured. Witch Hunt will also have a place, though not as folks know it. Leliana's Song (Fluttershy's song) is still being debated, and will likely be a interlude or a side story. Golems of Amgarrak is still being debated on, as well as Warden's Keep . Darkspawn Chronicles is right out.
I'm very happy with the positive response from ponies across the 'net. Thank you, and I hope you'll stick around for this ride. It's a doozy.
Ten chapters later and I'm still at it.
Hope everypony has been enjoying this story. I've enjoyed writing it, and will continue to do so.
Curiosity though makes me wonder; does anypony who commented when this fic first came onto the EQD scene still follow it? If so, what did you enjoy? If not, what made you stop?

It's a good crossover, however, I thought it was somewhat lacking as a piece of original work. Creativity is sorely lacking in this fic. All this fic does is replace the DA cast with members from the MLP cast, while keeping all of the locations and even the original story the same, even if they were renamed for the sake of making it sound more "MLP".
I would have liked to see more MLP and less DAO in this fic. What if the Ponyspawn invaded Ponyville for real? Instead of a fictional location that doesn't even exist inside Equestria?
Thank you for your honest comment. I do realize this is a weakness of the work, but I am too far in to the story to divert myself from this path. The best I can ask is to consider the original DAO story the "road map" that I follow. Not everypony in the tale is the same as their DAO counterparts, which is where my biggest focus goes to.
Made some adjustments to the fic with FiMfiction.com's settings.
1) Added Scootaloo, Big Mac, Braeburn, Applebloom and Ditzy
2) Added the Alternate Universe Tag, since it is fitting
3) Changed Rating to "Mature" due to violent and dark content. Will this have an effect? Not really, but it is necessary.
Both Chapter 12 and 13 are the new updates since the two rely on each other. Enjoy!
hmmm, so let me get this straight. This story follows the mage origin story, yes? But I'm not sure whether Twilight is a human mage or an elven mage. See in the opening part I assumed that Earth ponies were human, Pegasi were elves, Donkeys were dwarves, and .... come to think of it there are one too many races in this, so what are Unicorns, or did you just make a slight alteration in saying that mages are a separate race entirely their own?
This is actually my first fic I've read with Trixie in it so congrats or something.
I can't wait to see what Applejack is gonna be like!
Rarity as Morrigan, freakin awesome. Ya' know I saw it coming but still something about Rarity being Morrigan just doesn't feel right, like their characters don't synch well or something. I can't wait to see who Sten is going to be, and I bet Dash is Zevran. I'ma read some more before bed.
Not to be the typical sequel hound and go "hurr this is good you should do a dagron age origins 2 durr" but I do want to see what you would make of Kirkwall and the Hawke/Pie family. With the Mane 6 and my favoritest secondary pony already in FereldEquestria you'd have to dig into the background ponies for the characters but you still have the Doo's and you can take some liberties with Scootaloo (I might have missed her in the story so far, but I think she'd make a good Merrill despite being very different from my favorite mage).
The only question is how the Pies would work around the fact that none of them are unicorns... Plus the possibility that you would have to write Awakening first for some things to make sense...

Let me first say thank you for the feedback and comments, they all put a smile on my face.
To answer a few questions:
1) I would love to continue Pony Age into Dragon Age 2, and have made several references to Pinkie as Hawke to set this up. Considering Origins is rather huge though, and I still want to go through Awakening, this will have to wait a good while. Needless to say, it is in the primordial stages where I dance ideas in my head.
2) Pinkie taking the place of Sten. Whoda thunk it? Still, it was either change Pinkie or lose Sten. I made my choice.
3) To answer Paxtofettel's question, I have no plans to include any shipping. This time around. Maybe in 2. Maybe.

That was the LAST thing I expected to happen, Pinkie Pie as Sten WTF man
. Great way to go about it, true, just unexpected. She's a master herbalist and poison maker 
to boot, too bad she doesn't use a greatsword though, would'a been pretty cool. I'm guessing that Sten's no bullshit attitude and strange ideals aren't included.
You know I'm beginning to think that maybe Pinkie is a good choice to play Sten. I especially liked how in the fight her hair straitened out cause when Pinkie's hair gets straight you'd best start runnin.
Twilight's really gonna have to toughen up if she's planning on getting anywhere in Ferelden. When she freaked out after killing that assassin chick my thoughts were "aww her first kill", cause Darkspawn (Ponyspawn or whatever) don't count, they're already dead, killing them would be like killing zombies; meaning you can do it and not get all sentimental about it cause it doesn't matter they're already dead, and anyone who says otherwise is a dumbass.
I'm wondering how you're gonna pull this off, if I recall you said there would be no shipping in this story, so that said is Twilight going to die in the final battle because the only way she would live is if Rarity got pregnant. (Now that I think about it it would have to be Applejack who did it too so she's a girl now)

Ahem... Time for plotholes! Dragons are the enemies of Luna and can not enter the temple. Spike is a dragon, and can not enter the temple. The diamond dogs have the blood of dragons, and can not enter the temple... Applejack and Twilight of the blood of the archdemon who is a dragon and Luna's greatest enemy and threat, but CAN enter the temple....... what?!

This is really up to interpretation on what makes a ponyspawn.The way I saw it when I wrote up the temple was this: The Old Ones started as dragons on incredible power. It took Nightmare Moon to destroy thier bodies, but she was unable to destroy thier souls. For an Archdemon to be created, the soul of an Old One must enter the body of a ponyspawn. They cease being dragons or Old Ones and instead become something less or more. They take the forms of dragons because that is what they know. My original plan in the mists of time was to make the Archdemons alicorns. What could have been...
The temple was designed and built after the fall of the Old Ones and the death/ascension of Luna. The Old Ones where presumeably destroyed, yet thier servants and dragons exist. This is why the diamond dog reavers and Spike cannot enter the temple.
Twilight and Applejack are Grey Wardens, as they ingested Archdemon blood, not dragon blood. The latter makes you a reaver, the other makes you a Warden. If the ponyspawn were so inclined, they could enter the temple on thier own. They just wouldn't be able to get past the trials.
Perhaps I should explain this better in the next chapter. You gave me a good idea! I hope this explanation helps.
I'm curious about something. Do Tranquil Ponies exist in Pony Age? I couldn't find mention of them anywhere, unless you're saving the big reveal for when they enter the capital and maybe enter the magic shop or are they a carefully guarded secret, that the chantry keeps secret so as not to incite open revolt within their Unicorn charges. This adds a bit more depth to Apostates as they have discovered this horrid possibility and do their best to avoid becoming an emotionless husk, even going as far as turning to Blood Magic, when the only other outcomes are staying locked up in a tower your whole life or becoming a Tranquil.
Also I'm hoping you have the group fight the High Dragon, I know Trixie's in no condition but Shale and Everypony else are, and what an epic chapter it could be. Also six strands of Luna's Mane is a good idea, I can actually see some good uses for it in the story.

I already played through and completed Dragon Age:Origins, all the DLC & Dragon Age 2 (Sebastian is my least favourite character btw). So I knew Flemeth could turn into a Dragon already. I was simply wondering if they're gonna kill 2 Dragons (Archdemons don't count).
Oh yeah and something else I was wondering, will we be seeing Halla in this story? I could imagine them as useful allies. Admittedly they'd need a Ponyspawn counterpart, as would Griffins if they appeared in the story. One more thing, how will you create a situation involving the Dalish/Pegasi to win them over to Twilight's cause? I can't see Werewolves being a threat to Pegasi living in the clouds who probably know how to grow plants on the clouds (It's been done dammit read Kkhat's Fallout Equestria )
I'm going to do this in order.
1. I like to end arcs on boss fights. High Dragon coming up.
2. I do want to bring in the Tranquil, and they will be referred to in a chapter coming soon. I thought of having one come up in the Unicorn Tower, but there were enough characters running around in that arc that I didn't want to keep up with one more.
3. You bring up the DLC, which will prove interesting. One thing I have written up for a sort of intermission is "Fluttershy's Song". As far as the original Leliana's Song goes, I never played it, so I crafted that segment from scratch, as it were. I hope it is enjoyable, but feel it is my darkest stuff yet.
4. I have considered the Halla being something else, as it just seems off to have hooved folks having their stuff pulled by other things with hooves. Or I can just make them non-sentient. We'll see.
5. Now if I went on about the Pegasi arc, there wouldn't be much surprise. Never considered what Kkat did, to be honest. I always thought the biggest advantage the Pegasi would have is that they can have great mobile fortresses in the sky while the ground would be devoted to growing food. As for what sort of threat the Dalish Pegasi will face, well, you'll have to wait until that arc.

You use singular words a lot when you should be using the plural forms. Like using "Templar" instead of "Templars." For some reason, Firefox is telling me "Templars" isn't a word, but it most definitely is. If you want to avoid using the plural form, you could use the full name "Knights Templar" when referring to the order itself. You could also go with the "Templar Order," that would also work.
Blueblood is such a pansy. Bet if you put that blood under a microscope the blue is just a clever ruse hiding it's real shade of piss-yellow. 
At least the real kind was out fighting when this happened, but obviously Blueblood couldn't be seen doing something heroic and courageous, right? Blasphemy, that.
Gah. Every time you say "the templar" you make me think of a single Templar. Still trying to get used to the not using plurals thing! I expect it will get better once out of Unicorn Tower, being that there is only one Templar in the Mane Party, but it's really aggravating when it could be referring to a single Templar or a half-dozen of them!
That ends the first intermission. Now back to the main story.
It was quite an experience to write, so I'm wondering if more intermissions like this would be enjoyed? I have plans for Warden's Keep and Golems of Amgarrak in the works to be similar to Fluttershy's Song. Since I haven't played either, I'd be doing something completely different.

Very very heart warming. I agree with >>320833 This could probably even rival Fallout Equestria in goodness. Maybe even better since Fallout was too open ended with so many twists and turns, and so much mystery everywhere. Dragon Age tho, has a set story and background.
Dash is not going to Zevran, sten and zevran might be background Pony's or oc because they are side characters. and you do not need them for the main story.
