Digestion is a tricky thing in vore. It's the #1 thing that drives people away from it, which isn't too surprising, really. melting in acid doesn't sound to pleasant, after all.
even some of vorephiles don't like it, which may sound odd, but there's a lot of types of vore that don't involve digestion at all. Full tour, extended stay, catch and release, unbirth, cock vore (although that usually has cum transformation instead). there's still all sorts of things you can do in vore without digestion. and even with vore that would logically lead to digestion, lots of art you see cuts off at the actual eating and just doesn't touch on the digestion at all.
now, it's my experience that the vast majority of vorephiles (myself included) don't like graphic digestion. That stuff is basically Gore, and nobody likes that.
But implied/indirectly shown digestion? A slowly shrinking belly, or the pred taunting the just eaten prey about how they're going to become nothing but a layer of fat over their [insert body part of choice here]. Now that is really hot.
HHeeeelllll yeah! That shit is like, extreme D/S to me. I fucking love it!
Implied usually does it for me, but I have read a few graphic digestion scenes where the gore aspect didn't turn me off. They hit some kinda sweet spot for me.
Yeah, the graphic digestion is a huge turn off to me. I mean, I'm fine with gore, but only in certain settings. Like a horror movie. I love gore in a horror movie, because it goes hand in hand. Not so much a fan of gore in my fetish fuel. That's the main reason I faved this to begin with. I'm fine with the digestion as long as I don't have to sit through a graphic description off it. From the outside I'm fine with it, and even find the taunting a bit hot in its own way.
Now having read this chapter, I'd kind of like to see Pinkie insist on making it up to Twilight after her surprise reverse gobbling. Using the logic that Twilight has now eaten two ponies, but hasn't experienced it from the other side herself. None of the princesses have been prey yet, and I like the princesses to be prey. Mostly Luna and Twilight. Although I don't see Cadence or Celestia as prey very often. When Cadence is prey it's usually to Chrysalis or the Tatzlwurm.
...Speaking of Chryssi, any chance she could make an appearence? Pred or prey?
4988389 Don't worry, Twilight will be getting gobbled up next chapter. You'll just have to wait to see by whom, though!
as for chrysalis, no, she will not be showing up in this fic. However, I am working on a completely separate one shot vore fic that will feature some pred chrysalis!
4984902 Ha! It hadn't occurred to me how that scene looks in this context!
I've found that vore in general is awesome, but my favorite part is when the prey is unwilling. The idea of forcing the prey into vore just makes it all worthwhile!
I just know that in about 5-10 different stories, the exact same OC name was used to represent a disguised Celestia...
You'd also think that Celestia felt bad for Twilight having no 'meals' while she had hundreds.
You'd also think that Celestia would want to have a way to be the first to eat Twilight by getting closer to Ponyville.
You'd also think that Celestia has eyed Twilight as a meal for awhile.
These are some of my thoughts. Sunny could or could not be Celestia, only the next chapter will tell. Let us hope it will be soon, I really love this story.
4999286 actually, the name you're thinking of is Sunny Skies, a name that became popular thanks to this fic. and she's usually a pegasus, not an earth pony.
Head canons were made to be wrong, I guess. Though I wonder what role Sunny will be playing in future chapters... Or maybe... LUNA is Sunny Shores! (Just kidding, the odds of that happening are slim)
It's not often that a fetish/clop fic gets into my favorites folder. Congratulations!
The writing mechanics are well handled, and the vore (I know Google, I know) was pleasing, but what got my attention was the world-building. A story that starts out with something ludicrous (the Princesses used to swallow willing ponies as tribute, and then resurrect them after digestion), something that is clearly meant as simply a setup for what the author wants to write; that's common. But expanding upon that? Making it work in more than just a situation-enabling context? That is rare; a diamond among the charcoal.
I especially liked how you take the third chapter and use each character interaction to look at a different aspect of the practice, from Fluttershy's abject terror at the thought, to Applejack's curiosity, to Rarity's practical/political outlook. And there's certainly more to explore; I await in anticipation of both that and... well, and what brought me here in the first place.
of course, originally this was supposed to be just the first chapter, a small one shot. So it really did start out as "simply a setup for what the author wants to write".
but then this comment 3791190 happened and I started thinking "What would happen?" and, well, you've seen the results!
Blissey, you just revolutionised the way I see Pinkies abilites (though everyone knows Pinkies mentality comes from her being crazy).
What if she was born with a defect that gave her the alicorn ability to turn exess energy from food into magical energy and also to swallow things that would be normally impossibe, and also the alicorn special breathing and their powerful digestive system... Then we add in the fact of how much sugar the pink one consumes... Pinkie is basically a alicorn without the wings or horn... Her unusual powers is just her utilizing the magical energy she have stored.
This now my headcanon.
P.S: Digestion is actually awesome. But having the prey stay awake for the of the duration of the breaking apart is quite off putting. I mean even thinking of pain is a huge turn off for me. Even so the final leg of digestion is a huge turn on for me, as it finalize the prey's status as nothing but fat and waste (even better if something undigestable that was swallowed with the prey is left over with the remains).
6063704 for the second question, yes, she does. it's a good thing Twilight is always nearby!
for the first question, I've thought about it but I'm honestly not sure.
that's the kind of thing where exploring it just leads to even more questions, so it's best to just kind of ignore it in favor of keeping the story flowing.
6064708 well, yes. I already know where I want to go with the story and there's no room for a huge sidetrack examining something that deviates from the main focus: being fetish material.
while I do care about making everything internally consistent to an extent, this is mostly about the vore.
6064827 I'm slightly disappointed, but it's your story. Glad you have a plan, and I hope you can complete it (without it coming at the expense of your other story plans or more important things).

More soon right?
For many its simply the belly.

Sunny Shores is Celestia isn't she?
4994805 You'd think that, wouldn't you. However, unless the author has other ideas, I'm pretty sure she's an independent pony.

Didn't clop, but (moderately) interesting story; tracking.
What happens when an alicorn eats a pony who's sick, injured or dying?
Does Pinkie still need an alicorn to cast the reconstruction spell every time she eats Rainbow?
6063704

To "keep the story flowing" you're going to rule out even thinking about whole directions of story development?
(I guess I shouldn't bother wondering whether Pinkie left behind a party cannon when Celestia digested her.)
6064708 well, yes. I already know where I want to go with the story and there's no room for a huge sidetrack examining something that deviates from the main focus: being fetish material.

This is a really nice story you have here, my friend. Good work.
Absorption is considered a type of vore too, right? By the way, while it's on my mind, did you now there's SFM pony vore on youtube?
I'm a bit sad this has not been updated. this could and should turn into one of the best vore books I've read.
Keep it up. This could go down into smutty madness or great power surge too eat, or kill a villain.

Im definitely a pegasister that enjoys digestion.
I agree
