I do believe I see more or less what this is getting at. He is not controlling geometry itself with these potions, he is controlling the conceptual idea of the geometrical terms as they literally and metaphysically apply. Line, he can send things in the way a line goes, no true beginning or end, just the segment you are viewing. Point, he can take something with no space or mass, yet it would be clearly defined. Triangle is harder. It is a continuous loop that follows a set of angles and segments closely with a strict set of rules for proportionality. This could let the Wizard decide how things relate to each other, effectively allowing him to rewrite the laws of physics.
