Having fun by taking silly cartoon ponies way too seriously.

Twilight Sparkle visits Night Vale. Some people (and other things) are disturbed. Cecil notices.

Having written a Night Vale story myself, I say I like this one. It could use a little more focus on Twilight, but it was enjoyable.

Just wanna let you know, I read that out loud as Cecil... And it makes sense... All glory to the mighty glow cloud! Haha but nice job!

Oh.....kay. That was words.

Love it. Obligatory "Needs more Carlos" :raritywink:

If you're not quite sure what's going on here, then congratulations — you get to be one of today's lucky ten thousand!

For you; Carlos and his hair will occur! :raritywink:

Woooooooo! Yeah! Me likey!

Now that this is stirring like the ancient, undying colossus that definitely isn't buried at the intersection of Third and Main, I look forward to more.

I can hear Cecil reading this...

Jason Webley makes for the best Night Vale intro:

Twilight better stay out of the dog park, whatever she does.

Oh.....kay. That was words.

Just to add what Horizon said earlier, imagine a radio play/podcast series that is somewhat like a deliciously off-kilter combination of Prairie Home Companion and Twilight Zone

A friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead while we all pretend to sleep. Wednesday has been cancelled, due to a scheduling error

Yes Twilight is so desensitized to weird she isn't even phased by Night Vale. Entering the Library with utter impunity? Being so friendly and adorable the Librarians don't even try to feast on her flesh?

The horror! The earthly, comprehensible horror! That ice cream will go straight to their thighs! :raritydespair:

Delightful conclusion. Thank you for it, and good night.

She may not have ever officially been a lowercase-l librarian, but the Librarians recognize one of their own.

He disobeyed his orders, and Friendship won. He was subsumed.

Will he ever realize? Will They tell him? Can They, now?

Errr... words... yes, words. I am sure they are meant to convey a message in their well organised structure but I do not seem to have the references to make the message comprehensible.

Further research is obviously required.

And now the Weather:

(Buckethead - Lirtson Nostril)

Splendid job, and I discovered something new to listen to too.

I suppose they had a brief exchange program with Scarfolk in the seventies.

Oh, that's intriguing! Thank you!

Now, I haven't read this story yet, but I'm getting the sense that I need to watch Night Vale in order to understand this story. Am I correct?

Yeah, you need to listen to a few episodes at least, or the story will be nearly incomprehensible. Fortunately, Welcome to Night Vale is a pretty fun podcast if you like Lovecraftian surrealism. Links to the 'cast and episodes are about a third of the way down the page.
