Thomas Jason Aldegor was one of the few who didn't put much stock into the Mayan Doomsday Calendar, but when the world ends as predicted, he gets a second chance at life. Events in this Equestria are not exactly canonical in order, nor is everything as smooth as seen in the show. Keep in mind that the Equestrian side of the story begins sometime after Twilight's coronation as Princess, but before the events of 'Equestria Girls'.
