The Mystery of Stonehallow Manor

Some of the ponies in Ponyville had each received an invitation from an unknown sender to Stonehallow Manor. Thinking that nothing bad would happen, they all reluctantly accepted the invitation and headed to the mansion located past the Whitetail Wood. No one had been to the mansion until now where they soon face a terrible case in their hands. Will these ponies be able to solve why this is happening?

Is that somepony nice, or something really bad is about to happen (tags freak me out...)?

I like your story, aside of the fact you are mixing times, which shouldn't be happening. You should stick with one time (be is past or present) for pretty much the whole story, and definitely don't mix them up in a single sentence.

Like here: "On their way, they were able to bump into Applejack and Pinkie Pie who is as jumpy as ever." or: "Spike went to take the ladder at the right side of the library and walked towards the leftmost bookshelf. He held the ladder at the middle of the bookshelf in place and started climbing up. Spike spots a ten-foot roll of parchment on the bookshelf and took a hold of it."

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy reading it, and I'm looking forward for the next chapters to come, just wanted to point out what could be improved.

P.S. Is it a ponification of "House on the haunted hill"? :P It sure did start this way. Well, there's more than 5 characters, so maybe it has more to do with Agata Christie's "And Then There Were None". Would just love to know what inspired you to write this fic, but I guess we will find out in the next chapters :P
