Two agents--Bill Collins of the ATFE and Tina Mattson of the FBI--are assigned to investigate just what happened the night of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. They're confronted with students claiming that one of them, Sunset Shimmer, became a demon and nearly destroyed the school, only to be stopped by one Twilight Sparkle. Yet there's no record of Twilight Sparkle's existence, and Sunset Shimmer herself seems to be an enigma. With Sunset Shimmer in custody on suspicion of terrorism, Collins and Mattson try and learn the truth...only to find that some cases must never be solved, and some secrets must never be spoken--including their own.

Takes place immediately after the events of Equestria Girls.

I was a little doubtful about it at first but this is amazing

I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with this. The first chapter seemed a little dull to me, but that is usually expected to me. This chapter got me very interested. Shimmer's story on how she got there is very reasonable, I like how you came up with that. I became wide-eyed at the FBI agent's true self. Keep going with this is all I can say. I'm curious to see how this plays out in the end.

I've been waiting for someone to write a fic like this. Good luck with the paperwork on this one boys...

Make this a longer story I'm very interesting

After all that for some reason I have a feeling Sunset has crossed the despair event horizon and whatever is decided for her she will choose to commit suicide. Oh and I am pretty sure Sombra didn't ask for redemption.

Still, imprisonment for life is still a bit too harsh. Maybe the Agency could eventually offer Sunset a job, may she proves worthy of it.

Possibly. Most of the story is written from Mattson's POV, and she would prefer to see Sunset Shimmer dead. Luckily, it's not up to her, and Celestia would like to see Shimmer get redemption. Maybe in thirty or sixty moons...:trollestia:

2938767 I would have thought that Bill Collins or someone would have found out the truth of agency 0 or Mattison.

I thought about it, but then I would've had to go into more detail about Agency Zero, which takes the focus away from MLP and onto something completely different. (And given the way I've written Mattson, she'd have to kill Collins to keep the secret.) Basically, this story is the "tying up the loose end" of Equestria Girls. Sunset Shimmer's in the loony bin, the secret of Equestria is still safe, and life goes on at Canterlot High.

Though alert readers might notice that there's someone who a) knows about the portal, b) knows about Twilight and c) Tina Mattson missed...

Sunset might have had the choice, but she would never have had the destiny. Even if she had made friends they wouldn't have had that bond before they even knew each other like Twilight.

I don't think the crazy excuse would hold in real life. Insanity (which is a legal not clinical term) requires that she had to be so mentally ill she couldn't tell the difference between right and wrong, which isn't the case here (or in my opinion is possible in any case).

2939373 Well atleast make a sequeal about Sunset getting redemption and Bill Collins finds out about Mattison.

Is that really it? U could make this go so much further

Fairly interesting fic that could go a lot of places, should you choose to continue it. I also liked the bait-and-switch, as I could have sworn Mattie was Twilight's alter-ego until the very end of the second chapter.

Never let it be said I don't listen to my reviewers. I'll write a few more chapters (once I get the time!).

I'm not completely sure how to feel about this fic. I thought it would deal with mundane humans, then Mattson-Tiamat turned up and everything turned into a condemnation by another supernatural and the humans are left by the wayside. Again.
