Furor

At the beginning of a campaign across the continent Rainbow Dash is reunited with a friend.

It's a crossover with the Malazan Book of the Fallen. Long story short: It's got TwiDash. I'm somewhat proud of it.

Don't take this too seriously. I wrote most of it under the influence of too much coffee.

"By Hood's Balls!!"

Best reaction I've heard ever. :rainbowlaugh:

Some form of continuation to this story by anyone would definitely have a good base to build off of.

Ah, wonderful to see this here!

227988 Poor Hood's various body-parts are often used as exclamations of fear, surprise or disgust.

"BY THE NOXIOUS STENCH OF HOOD'S FUNGUS-RIDDEN FEET!" :pinkiegasp:

A MLP crossover with Malazan Book of The Fallen!? :pinkiehappy:

I keep throwing money at the screen and nothing happens! :pinkiegasp:

On a more serious note, this was a great short story that I very much enjoyed. I know you said not to expect more, but I would definitely read it if you did.

This started out more as a TwiDash idea and I had just finished Memories of Ice at the time. I love that pairing and I wanted to see if I could write like Erikson does. But sorry, I won't continue this. TwiDash was the focus here and I think any further continuation would only shift that focus. Plus I'd probably just end up rewriting Memories of Ice with ponies. I'm no good with ideas for long stories.

246611 This was wonderful for what it was. Perhaps another writer will pick up where it left off, or use it as inspiration. Either way, 'twas a good job on your part.

Thank you. I wouldn't mind anyone good picking this fic up and making a real story out of it, but I doubt that will happen. This story doesn't seem to be that popular, even though I like it more than most of the other ones I've written.

377659 That's a shame, but as I stated, even as a stand alone, it's quite good.

I know that it's a crossover with Malazan Book of The Fallen... but damn, the way the characters talked reminds me of Warhammer 40.000.

I know next to nothing to Warhammer 40k, so you might be onto something there.

To be honest, neither do I. I just saw some videos, played some of the video games, read some fragments, and it felt similair to that.

You combined Segulah with K'chain Che'malle. How could anything stand up to that?

Also, it's too bad that you stopped this here. Yes, it likely would've been a remake of Memories of Ice, or any of the other books, but it would've been a wonderful remake.

I intended for these reptilians to be just an adaptation of the Selugeh. That they're all reptiles had nothing to do with the K'Chain Che'malle. And I'm not sure if I would like a remake of the book with ponies, considering that this is a pretty standalone story. If anyone were to continue this, then they wouldn't have to follow the path of Memories of Ice, because the other books in the series wouldn't need to happen, so it could go in a whole different way. But I'm not the right person for that.

My only regret is finding this at such a late date!

This is awesome!

You might imagine from my name that I'm a fanboy.

Nice work!

The sun had made it above the tents to their east when Storm cleared his throat. “We should pack up,” he grumbled.

“Hood take me,” Blend said. “It talks.”

:rainbowlaugh:

Wish I had found this sooner! Also, Dash seems a lot more mature and talks as if she's been reading a thesaurus. Egghead!

Reading this also makes me wish I could actually write romance that doesn't end sadly. I'd pick up where you left off (as well as add some stuff before to get the TwiDash a rollin').
