Epilogue

"Princess, a-are you okay?"

Twilight had noticed that Celestia hadn't taken too well to Luna's death. She has done everything her books have told her about comforting a friend after a loss, but nothing seems to be working. She just wasn't the same pony.

She wouldn't do anything on her own, and Twilight and Cadence had been caring for her for 5 months, but they didn't see any progress in her state, nor did the team of therapists helping her. It was like she was replaced by some mannequin, lifeless and hopeless.

But Twilight was definitely not one to give up on a so called lost cause. Especially if it as a friend. An even more especially if that friend was the ruler of all of Equestria.

There was no response that came from Celestia, as usual, but it was always good to try, just in case. You never know.

"So, I think you'd like to know that Cadance is taking over while you're in this...condition. But don't worry, when you get back to normal everything will be fine! So,..." Twilight chatted, trailing off at the end, feeling as if she were talking to herself.

In that room, after five long months Celestia finally uttered one word.

"Goodnight."

Thank you, I suck at sad stuffs XD

Immortality is a curse, not a gift. I haven't read this but just by reading the description I can tell you've done a good job, you've chosen a great subject and decided to turn it into a tragic tale. By seeing that there's only two chapters i can tell you've created a story about Celestias feelings and the impact Luna's death has upon equestria. I would like to read this but I'm afraid sad stories aren't my type of story. :twilightsheepish:

2688676 Thank you :pinkiehappy:

I don't like to read sad stories either, so I understand where you're coming from :rainbowkiss:

This was really sweet. I'd have ben really happy with a sequel, showing a slow recovery. Still, it's really good. :)

2731059 Thank you so much for the feedback!

I've been working on something else at the moment, but I will definitely consider making a sequel!

The sequel that was mentioned, about a slow recovery. That would be nice. But. In all honesty, I'd enjoy seeing an alternate ending to the sequel, where celestia gets worse, and drifts farther off, until... Welll you know... No more celestia... If you'd like help with it I'd be glad to help.

2759828 I love that idea! I want to finish up something I had been working on, but I will definitely make a sequel to this in the near future!

2688676 I Totally agree with you, in my headcanon alicorns are longevity not eternal, everything must die as is the circle of life

I wasn't saying that immortality isn't a thing. Neither am I saying that immortals can't die eventually.

I was saying that immortality is not a thing to be seeked, it's a curse, not a gift. It's not good, it's bad.
Everything has to die eventually, for a reason.

Even Immortals.

I really wanted to like this, but it is simply too bland. Nothing about it really stands out, and the questions it leaves behind unanswered (i.e. all of them) just frustrate matters. Not bad, but not good. I give it a solid no thumbs: meh :applejackunsure:
