Missing the message? Not quite. I'm missing the sound of a band whose music hasn't been over-produced to the point of being nigh impossible to actually listen to.
That album's mastering stinks.
As for the fic, seriously, you do yourself no favors with five line 'chapters' that are mostly just dialogue. Narration and description are the meat of fiction, use them. This reads like an instant messenger RP in a lot of places.
