Everypony in Ponyville is celebrating the heroic return of the creatures who saved Equestria from Queen Chrysalis' evil kidnapping plot.
Everypony is happy to hear the news that the changelings, once the ponies' most terrifying enemies, have been changed by the power of friendship into something beautiful, something wonderful, and most of all, something friendly.
Maybe it's not the best time for Fiddlesticks to take Applejack aside to share her darkest secret, then. But secrets, like guilt and shame, have a way of burning inside you, demanding to come out.
Second place in a Quills and Sofas contest. Seriously, come check us out, it's fun!
Editing by Stinium Ruide. (Thanks so much!)
Prereading by several Quills and Sofas members, including The Red Parade, wishcometrue, Vis-a-Viscera, rainsilent, Krazy, and Decaf.
It is a terrible thing, to lose the pony you love. Lightning Dust has been alone since Fiddlesticks died, and she can no longer conceive of any other way to be.
A tale of grief and recovery.
This is a standalone story, but does take place in the universe of Auntie Tia's Matchmaking Service.
Fiddlesticks watched the two ponies in the gif embrace over and over again, and wondered how that would feel. How anything that Twilight Sparkle experienced would feel.
The story of a smart house and the digital souls within it.
That isn't Fiddlesticks. That isn't her. That isn't her. That isn't her.
the current draft is an entry into The Red Parade's The First FiddleDust Festival
the first draft was an entry into the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting Group's Anonymous Contest 2, hosted by The Red Parade

Lightning Dust will never be a Wonderbolt. When she left the Academy, she swore she'd never look back. When the Washouts disbanded, she swore she'd forget about them.
Yet after all these years, against all odds, she finds herself here. At a Wonderbolts show. Just on the wrong side of the glass.
Entry into a Sofa and Quills Speedwriting contest, where it placed first! Written in the span of half an hour (time limit was an hour but I had to go early) with the prompts 'candy' and 'bittersweet.'

This story is a sequel to Salmon Run
When the sky turns from clear to ash
And the sun fades to a distant memory
Will the birds appear in the morning?
A sequel to the story Salmon Run by my outstanding friend Mushroom. It is advised to read that story before this one, although they can realistically be read in any order. But you should still read it (it's very good).
Written in about an hour with permission from the original author as part of the Quills and Sofas Nostalgia Contest speedwrite.

Literally.
This is not a incest story I swear.
Written as part of Bean's writing group using the prompt "Dancing with herself". Many, many thanks to RDT and Hope for prereading and editing this story that otherwise would have been a lost cause without their help.

Octavia might know that she's dreaming, but that doesn't make dealing with this any easier. (CW: references to suicide attempts and minor blood.)
